Fucking add it ^ do you know how many tines this would have been useful? I can say hi to the enemy coming up behind my ally but i cannot tell my ally there is an enemy behind them because mordhau.

But hey, even this stuff isn't important when you launched your game 2 months ago and you still don't have a real main game mode or single decent map.

Chivalry has a total of 21 voice commands while Mordhau has 15. Both have commands that the other lacks, some of which have questionable usefulness, but there's definitely room for expansion in Mordau. Here's a comparison:

Mordhau arguably needs to have voice commands for:

  • You're welcome - this command was always a nice touch to say to someone after being thanked or after you hit/killed them.

  • Got your back - how can you have a "Follow me" command but not one to tell someone you'll defend/follow them?

  • Go for the objective - this was a map dependent command which states what the current objective should be. Though it would likely be far more useful for the future Team Objective mode than Frontline since the majority of the objectives are usually just capturing zones.

  • Mercy - a voice command that has your character pleading for the enemy not to kill them. There's already an emote to cower & drop your weapon so why not have a voice command too?

Knew something was definitely off when parry inputs wouldn't go through. Glad to see this validated. Plz get this sorted out, this is the stuff that costs lives and games.

A perk that reduces the time it takes to switch weapons and maybe also reduces the time it takes to stand up after falling (from your horse, bear trap, etc).
Would probably only cost one point.

Really though, I feel like 3rd person has the potential to be better than first, simply because the field of view is so much greater. But you’re right about it. It just feels really wierd to play in although I feel like certain moves are easier to read in third.

Shields are in a bad spot. No fun to use, and shield noobs blocking my big boy ripostes and getting me killed in 1vx situations without any true timing or anticipation on their behalf is frustrating. Would be nice if your weapon contacted the shield and carried on during a riposte or something instead of being blocked. Even nicer if they got a major rework. We'll see what the devs have in store.

hell i'd even be fine with giving them damage reduction ripostes or an enhanced active parry window or something, but held blocks need to go as far as i'm concerned

Hey,

I know this is controversial and shields are probably there for casuals to have it easier in the game, but the truth is that when you know what you are doing, you will always destroy a shield user either with kicks, footwork or the jump-overhead-attack.

Because I do not want to unlearn my parry skill, I do not want to play with a shield - except for Buckler or Targe which have the normal parry mechanic.

To make 1vX fights less cancer, and because the bigger shields look really cool to everyone who wants to play as a "tank", all or most shields should be reworked to where they work like Buckler and only provide Stamina Negation and Stamina Boost on disarm.

Alternatively, please add more options for us playing with Targe / Buckler to be able to have a bigger shield that is more aesthetically pleasing.

Oh fuck off. If horses are not fair and have a lot of issues in even casual play of course they would sit out on competitive. You can call comp players small minded but they have obviously learned from chivs OP archers that just letting it stay is not a good idea in a competitive environment. I have played 6v6 comp frontline without horses and it was insanely fun strategising pushes and holds without a 1 shot machine roaming the map.

In the latest update, votekicks now require 50% of players to participate in votekicks, instead of the old 33%.

Since few players pay attention to votekicks, this effectively means that votekicks will never work. Toxic players can do whatever they please without consequence.

My first match today featured not one, not two, but three players calling each other hard-r racial slurs. These players were delighted by the change, one of them lamenting that he used to get kicked from matches, but now he is immune and can do whatever he wants.

Indeed, chat was today an overflowing septic tank of personal insults, racial slurs, and general vitriol and hate. Not a single person was kicked.

Great job in addressing toxicity, Mordhau devs!

Someone TK'ed me and I made a votekick. It didn't pass because you raised the required amount of players having to participate to 50%. Then that retard started a votekick against me and it passed.

This happened to me at least 10 times now in Frontline and I am sick of it.

Suggestion: Show the amount of team damage dealt by the player that is to be kicked, and show this stat on the scoreboard as well. If you don't do this, votekick will continue to be abused by retards.

I feel like essentially copy pasting counterstrikes round based objective game mode with no respawns and a buy system would work well in Mordhau. Upvote if you agree, or discuss below!

This video by Stouty shows that perhaps we should disable regen to prevent those outnumbering one guy (in 1vX) achieving an advantage and switching to avoid combat.
Perhaps a command for server owners would be nice. Not necessarily removing it from the game, but just a command.

I have my doubts about archers being extremely strong in 2v2 or 3v3. With larger teams on the other hand... you could as well just play frontline.
In the end it boils down to skirmish being a bad (at least for spectators ) game mode and the comp scene being too small.

Yeah, totally makes sense. Weapons that actually SHOULD slow you down (like huge swords, battleaxes, maul) don't slow you one bit, but bows do. Makes a looooooooooooot of sense.
