Yeah really need more interaction, it's fun, but feels bland.

At the bottom of your post you mention special events, random npc horse courier. Someone in another thread mentioned Alterac Valley from vanilla WoW which was a great map. From memory on that map there was side objectives that can gain your team some sort of advantage, one of them was gathering resources to get your team a powerful NPC who helps you fight. Something like that would be neat.

  • Rescue captured soldiers from enemys base. After rescuing the soldiers a map pops up and you can delegate where those npcs will run to and help capture

  • Gather stone and return it to your teams base to unlock use of a trebuchet which can fire on a few select areas. ( a capture point, to keep anyone from capping it for X amount of time. Or to bombard a structure, or close off an access route from the enemy. )

  • Build fortifications and siege equipment, forward spawn points, bridges and access tracks to get shortcuts to key objectives

  • Capturing a set of stables, which gives your team an extra horse/horses/lances at a location of choice

It just feels so bland atm, it's really just CTF to be perfectly honest.

You're right, more interaction, more focus on an end goal. It doesn't have that right now. The game has so many tools that could be used in so many interesting ways. I want to see a team capture something or gain a resource that lets them create a chokepoint the enemy team has to funnel through unless a few split off and go after another side objective to tilt the scales, I want to see the team defending the chokepoint use firepots and ranged weapons and traps to make ultimate use of the advantage they gained themselves.

It's not bad, just bland.

Edit: More movement, in regards to objectives. I hope the developers aren't scared to use the old push the cart objective, atleast it keeps things moving instead of standing static in one place capping a point. More movement, more excitement, more interactivity and creating objectives that the players can get creative with in regards to the weapons and tools given to them.

That's usually a good rule of thumb to follow. Huggles made a cretinous deconstruction of the genre which can be applied to any competitive game without offering any insight. You might want to re-watch the video and pay attention to my positioning as it's very apparent I'm not coming in from a diagonal angle to force an insta but straight up facing them, even with some distance between us.

It's really frustrating when low-tier turkeys like yourself try petitioning for Christmas because I know damn well you would crumble within 2 duels vs me abusing insta's and if the devs read comments re-affirming that there's no issue then we (the competitive players who probably make up the largest $% of the backers) can end up stuck with a broken game

There's an official server based in Sydney on regular Mordhau, it is unused. Please relocate this onto the beta client; it's just wasting money sitting empty on the regular client. It is irrational to not convert the unused server into a server that will be used.

This was an extreme measure due to an extreme individual. This wasn't just because he "badmouthed staff", although he sure loved spamming us with insults even in private on Steam. Some of us had him on our Steam friends list, because he actually used to be a reasonable person once. I honestly have no idea what his problem is. This is a long list of offenses over what seems an eternity. In the end, I was the one that pushed the button after deciding that enough is enough, and he can play with bots which, realistically, are the only pseudo-people on Earth that won't mind his behavior.

You would expect us to ban cheaters, this was about up there in terms of ruining the fun of others. It's one thing to call someone something, but quite another when you make it the purpose of your life to spam the chat over and over, for days, months, years. He is way too much work for us to deal with, and there's way too many screenshots of his abusive behavior on my hard drive than I have space for.

the best part about em is that they're supposed to be shit. A really good player should want to pick them up and wreck bad players with em because it will be more fun, putting them into loadouts makes them not unique at all and simply makes them another weapon. People will get mad that they're not powerful weapons and want them to get buffed when the whole point of them is to be a novelty joke weapon

I do think disarm could be just a little more punishing, but people just have to learn to not gamble against fists from neutral unless they have a fast weapon too.

while it's annoying to get rekt by someone you just disarmed, it probably feels good for the other person, and you could have avoided getting punched if you had been more careful, usually.

the stam boost after disarm is probably too much.

It's a fun scenario when you disarm one of your enemies in 2v1 running low on stam yourself, you're basically dead at that point. There's also no fear and no stakes for getting disarmed. Were getting disarmed a grave punishment, the intensity of the fight would rise tremendously as any errors would have big consequences -- as it stands it's kind of 'meh, i'll just try to punch him'.

It's almost here folks, and yes, that's 2017, we're not delaying it by another year. We will unlock Steam keys tomorrow by the specified time, which will then appear in your forum account, and you'll then be able to activate them on Steam. If you haven't activated your purchase on our forums yet, go ahead and do that (we've sent out emails with the activation link some time ago!)

We can't wait to have you guys get your hands on what we've been working on (and what you've been waiting) for so long. See you guys tomorrow!

PS: regarding the recent outbursts on the forums.

The situation on the forums has been, well, rather tense the past few days. We made some decisions that clearly riled parts of the community up. If we were to do it again, we'd have handled it differently for sure. We've been working day and night to make sure everything in the alpha is working correctly, and that it has as much content as we can reasonably put into it at this point.

If you've been following us for a while, you know we tend to obsess over details and nothing is ever good enough. This remains true even for an alpha, and will remain true in the future. It's simply how we operate as a team. Unfortunately, everything has its downsides, and it sometimes costs us foresight when it comes to other aspects, like keeping you informed of our on-the-spot decisions, or being able to stay true to deadlines. That said, we think you'll love it. And ultimately, that's really why I think we're all here. Thanks for your patience and support, we'd never have made it without you.
