The words and opinions of these sad little wastes of life don't need to concern you.

What you could do is get some of your real life friends to play with you, go to these 1v1 servers and when they get all butt hurt because they get beaten by a trans person and start getting abusive, you and your friends team up and kill them on site. repeatedly.... I know two wrongs don't make a right, but watching some fool go mental in chat because "you aren't playing by the rules" and they have to resort to abusive language to claw back some of their broken ego or whatever, It can be satisfying to witness their anguish.
if you get kicked from the server. theres always another one... or rent or start your own. then you can control who kicks who.

chivalry 2 is a cash grab.
they made 0 money on mirage because they made a game no one asked for.
they are copying mordhau just like modhau copied them. 64 players? horses?
if it ends up with all the same features as mordhau i will buy it and play it as "extra mordhau content" i can't imagine them playing too different.
TO made chivalry great. but I am happy with mordhau how it is.
I would like to see both games add more content. SDK please.
will this be the beginning of a COD vs BF competition? I hope so... theres an idea for you. recreate the good old battlefield games like 1942 with this great combat

i have no faith in the chivlary 2 developers though so good luck besting mordhau

The best thing about this game is that Trolls can be punished in game by the players.

team mates blocking the doors? kill them, burn them, kick them.
team mate intentionally kills you? kill him back. if you can kill him 1v1 repeatedly, he is your bitch... jail rules.
if you can't beat him, you deserve to be his bitch.

people not playing by the duel rules? who cares? kill them!
these trolls will only keep doing what they are doing if people get upset and react to it.
so if everyone turns on them, they get killed repeatedly when trying to troll, they will get bored and leave.

what if that guy running around naked hitting duelers in the back comes up behind his next victim and both duelers stop, mince the dude up, then bow to each other before going back to their duel?

so to summarise, my answer for trolls is always... kill them... if you can't.. git gud nub

there seems to be an invisible wall around the shield because some very accurate hits around the sides or over the top of the shield seem to still get deflected.

just reduce the size of the hit box of the shield and make people have to turn their body more to block attacks coming from the sides and over the top

stabbing is effecting in real life and against armor in real life.
many medieval armies are made mostly of spear men for this reason.
stabbing is fast and has long range so its good for keeping people at distance.
stabbing is also easy to miss.
wait for these people to wind up their stab, and side step them.
combat is about movement, so get good noob

make a video? hrmm.. challenge accepted

there are a lot of maps and mechanics taken from chivalry, please continue this by copying their team objective mode.
TO mode in chivalry is easily one of the best fun modes in any video game.
doesn't need to be 64 players. just a few different objectives that make you do different things that make like a small story as you progress through the map to the final objective

just needs to have that fun feel of oh yeah I like this part of this map!
pushing wagons, using rams, killing peasants, burning villages, opening gates, becoming the king etc are all fun additions to gameplay.

i know frontline has some tents to burn and those NPC gaurds in grad to kill but yeah... add more of that stuff please. just copy/paste some chivalry stuff

or remove the "lock" on the other objectives of the maps, so you can sneak with a small group past one objective and open another.
Funneling all 64 ppl into one area is hectic and crazy but it becomes a real shit fest and is all about running in fully armored swinging your weapon randomly trying to get a sneaky kill and hitting all your team mates in the back.

it's not a bad mode, just needs polish.
at the moment i prefer TDM.
in chivalry it was TO or nothing :D

theres some really respectful helpful people and the rest are just angry little muppets.

don't give them the time of day.
I still don't know why people are reading the chat? the game is in the combat, you need to keep your eyes up and on your next target.
respawn times - except i guess in most game modes - are really short. stop reading the chat and start playing the game.

also, i keep harping on about this but if there is a person behaving in a way you don't like, single them out and kill them. they can cry all they like but if you are better at the game then them and keep beating them, well you win don't you?
even if they are on your team... TK em, if they are better than you then you best find another server to play on hahaha

I like the feature

i go into battle with a crappy weapon, manage to kill or see killed a dude with my fav weapon... i pick it up, now i am awesome until i die...

if i see a weapon i should be able to pick it up in place of whatever weapon i had.

i don't see this as too exploitable because once killed, you respawn with the not so great weapon or no weapon.

i hate games that don't allow you to pick up guns or whatever because your "class" or whatever can't use it... fuck that. i have 2 hands i should pick up whatever i want!

If you mean while swinging, you're wrong. Your sensitivity is capped while attacking.

I mean while not swinging. Michael Jackson and a figure skater can spin around on the spot at really high speeds but in Mordhau it looks silly.
What I am meaning is that like for example tapping very fast the crouch button, and spinning your character around on the spot really fast, say, making long swipes with your mouse across your mouse pad to make your character do 10, 360 degree spins in .5 of a second is silly.

I don't want to limit sensitivity, i want to limit how fast your character can do these actions, to better represent how a person could do it in real life.

it's not game braking and no one is doing this to exploit the mechanics. it's just an immersion thing.

even very fast looking up and down. it just needs to be slowed down so that its at a real person speed not computer character speed.

I agree with the OP. I don't mind doing odd things to catch an opponent out. Any good fighter will learn this trick.
My problem is the unrealistc.

people with high mouse sensitivity spinning around on the spot at a million miles per hour. its a lol, but not realistic.

I would prefer a more momentum based physics or controls.

so you can only spin around so fast, can only bend your torso so fast.

this would stop some ballerinas i think.

i hope the devs don't follow this suggestion.

i like how free the game is to be just a game.

the problem with the gaming industry at the moment is too many devs and publishers cater to this new age (damn kids get off ma lawn) market to make the extra money.

all this, rewards this, accomplishment that, acheivements this, unlock that, micro transaction this, win that is all the reason why most games suck these days.

you can't please everyone so stop trying.

have a look at all the games that go down that path.
they all die when the new shiny comes out, they leave a rotten empty husk in it's wake.

keep it simple add more game modes and cosmetics and maps and people will keep playing and buying.

don't waste time with esports, competition, twitch steamers, micro transactions, ranks and unlocks. it has no place in this silly violent fun little brawler

I don't think ranked should be a priority.

imagine this.

you are a higher ranking player.
you join a server with other high ranking players.
all the fights are either long and drawn out or everyone is hitting through team mates to get the killing blow on an enemy.

on the flip side, the lower ranked servers will just have noobs running around swinging wildly, there will be a few people who get it though and will slaughter them all until they rank up enough to be put into the higher ranked servers.

when chivalry added these lower ranked servers i often found they were nice and full and the other servers were empty.
it splits the player base.

just leave it as it is and work on making the maps more fun to play.
forget about this competition esports crap and focus on having fun with the killing and the dying in funny ways

i agree hit box is too large
shields are for people who can't time a parry or need to get close to an archer.
you should need to aim your shield to block a strike

cool move but he leaves himself open for a decent amount of time.
annoying if people start doing this all the time like the rainbow 360 spins that were rampant in chivalry but 1 counter to it would be the same as other feints and morphs... swing at them.
especially if an enemy turns his back on you... swing!

seriously though, if you think sekiro or whatever has a better combat system then you have never played around with edged weapons.
this "chiv" system is the most realistic in terms of being able to control the swing of a weapon in the way you would in real life. All these other games involve spamming the A button on your xbox controller to do the same animation over and over... yeah that's heaps more realistic and fun!

feint spam?
if someone is spamming feints, they are open for your attack. swing at the same time as them and yours will hit first.
if you keep falling for feints, learn to relax a bit, don't panic block. wait for the weapon to come at you before trying to parry.
trading parries?
try aim your swings and positioning your body to get around the person who is good with timing his parry.
move in and out of range, tempting your enemy to swing at you out of range, missing you and leaving them selves open without enough time to parry.

maybe have server options to disable them but they should be OP
they were OP in real life.

look at the mongols
mobility and power is very important in battle.
they were the medieval tanks.

if you truly are a fan of medieval battles then you don't care if you are are good or not because even dying and just being on the battlefield is a fun experience IMO
