Here are some suggestions I have compiled from my own consideration or experience.
The siege gamemode would be a castle siege with varying maps with two teams; attackers and defenders. There would be a number of control points (objectives) in the castle siege gamemode.
The attackers would be responsible for sieging the castle with siege towers, a battering ram, catapults, trebuchets (which would launch much less frequently than in Frontline), ladders (which would require the attackers to carry them towards the castle walls) and possibly other siege equipment. Moreover, the attackers would also be tasked to secure and capture the control points to achieve victory within an allotted time.
The defenders would be responsible for defending the castle with ballistas, archers, footmen, traps within the castle (murder holes, etc) and possibly other equipment. Additionally, the defenders would also be tasked with defending their control points to achieve victory within an allotted time.
To clarify, the objectives would function differently from that in Frontline. A timer would be present which signifies the duration before the match ends. The attackers would be required to siege the castle and capture all control points within the allotted time. Failing to capture all control points within such time would result in an immediate victory for the defenders. Furthermore, a non-capturable spawn for either team would be present (similiar to those in games such as Battlefield 1) so both teams, regardless of how many control points they occupy, will always have the opportunity to spawn within the given time of the match.
Conclusively, the siege gamemode would most likely increase the enjoyment, variety and longevity of Mordhau if implemented correctly.
Option to Hide GUI in Armoury
The option to hide GUI in the Armoury tab would be useful for when individuals wish to capture images of their mercenaries. The display of the mercenary would shift to the centre of the screen. Possibly certain poses (as those you can perform in matches) for the mercenary could be selectable.
Daily / Weekly Challenges
Daily / weekly challenges would be a rewarding incentive to ensure people continue playing. Daily and weekly challenges would reward an individual with gold and EXP. Weekly challenges would offer better rewards but at the expense of being more difficult than daily challenges.
Thank you for reading. I appreciate all constructive criticism towards my suggestions.
This is a very useful guide, thank you! :)
Goodness! $300? The game in its current state is Alpha. It wouldn't be worth $300 dollars even in its beta either. The selling price even said $25-30.. you must be mad..
Yes, yes. I know it's unlikely I'll get a key for free. I'd rather not spend money, to be honest.
I am looking for someone willing to grant me a key for Mordhau Alpha for free. Please message me if you wish to kindly hand over an Alpha key. I will greatly appreciate the generosity! :)
tf why do i see a guy who has posted a comment nearly 6000 times
