Just chamber the fist if they try and fist u...pretty simple

Chambers hardly ever work with normal weapons and you suggest we easily chamber one of the most unreadable animations in the game with hitboxes that are still a mystery after so many patches

"Guys it's obviously a hidden feature not a bug" is pretty much exactly the same thing TB said when they "invented" drags and beyblading

That's the black screen problem that everyone is experiencing, when your first startup of the game is really slow and may stay in the black screen for minutes (depends on the pc, mostly the delay is no more than 30 seconds). I would suggest you wait until the UE4 logo appears, it may take from 30-60 seconds to several minutes but after that the game will startup almost instantly

That surely doesn't happen only to you. It happens to me and to all of my friends from time to time, so I'm more than sure it's not your pc

Honestly I don't support Survii in this. Most people want shields to be solely a tool for noobs who cannot block. I want to see the shield in the game as something that would change the playstyle but still remain a high-level weapon, just different and with different pros/cons

Probably the first time in my life I actually agree with King regarding that shields should not be nerfed to the ground like they were in Chivalry, because then they will turn out to be useless or SOLELY an anti-archery weapon. The 2H meta needs to remain in Chivalry, Mordhau is a whole different game. I want shields to be something high levels would also use

After playing with the shield for around 15-20 hours I've realised that shields are only OP in duels, because in LTS/TDM shields suck honestly - your reach is 3-4 times shorter than everyone else, you do less damage and sometimes are actually slower (the shield recovery time being the main culprit here) and the tradeoff is that you can hold parry. This results in a shieldman simply being a sturdy meatshield that cannot fight back due to its inferior attacking force

Nop, it did go through the model. tbh the hitboxes are so tight sometimes the strikes go through armor/cloth like it's nothing

Why was parrying better in slasher ? I never played slasher so I dont know.

Parry windows were much smaller and aiming strikes/parries was an actual thing. Right now the parry windows are much bigger, if you aim for legs but a guy protects his torso, then the strike still will get blocked. If it was Slasher the strike would easily hit the legs

I have personally had some moments when a guy parried backstabbing using some wizardry, which proves that the parries are still not fully polished yet

Halberd heads are the same length overall in terms of tracers, the example you show is world collision, where tip tracers are ignored so that it is less annoying to the player, actual non-world collision doesn't ignore the tip like that.

Then I guess I will have to somehow make footage of this happening to players. Also what do you mean by "tip tracers"? You can still hit walls with your tip, it's just that the hitbox is 2-3cm shorter than the model. Also, I really don't see any point in making players strike through walls, that just makes it feel more cheesier as players don't need to care about hitting real life objects

  • If you were in the customization menu during a mapswitch (when the match ended), you may have the entire menu glitched out as soon as the new map loads. All icons will appear as empty and you won't be able to switch any parameters. The solution to this is to quit to the main menu and rejoin the server you were playing on. It's better to not have any menus up when a map is about to end

  • There are moments when you hit an opponent but there is no sound of getting hit (your enemy just silently flinches, doesn't grunt nor the "hit" sound plays out). I've noticed that it only occurs to particular players and I have no idea why it happens. Usually dying and respawning again solves the problem, but if it doesn't then you should exit to the main menu and rejoin the server you were playing on

  • Spear is shit, don't play with it (coming from a spear main)

This is noticeable on the Halberd

The Halberd has 3 head types, and one head type is quite longer/bigger than the other 2 (I am talking about the one with an exceptionally long tip, almost resembling a spear). What I have noticed is that the model with this head becomes bigger than the weapon's hitboxes are, so a lot of times the tip would go through a character model and deal no damage. I have tried doing it with a tree and had the same result - sometimes a weapon obviously goes through a prop/character but deals no damage. That also may apply to the spear but I have not tested it so I am not sure

Here made a quick screenshot to kinda explain what I am talking about

20170917143457_1.jpg

You can see that the tip is obviously going through wood yet it doesn't actually hit it (the system counts it as a miss and drains my stamina as well). The difference is just a few centimeters, but still it's quite annoying when fighting real players. I had a lot of moments when my strike/kick went through the model but didn't register a hit, and I had a lot of moments when a zweihander went literally through my head yet didn't deal me any damage at all (nor flinch me). I think this occurs most when the target is actually moving, so the hitboxes sometimes are missed and it's impossible to drag your way out on some weapons (although I have been HEAVILY thrust dragged by the longsword at times, so I guess this problem only applies to particular weapons like the halberd or the spear)

I wholeheartedly agree with Vanguard on this. It's just that Mordhau is a really different game from Chiv, but we've all been programmed to expect the games to be the same

The more you play it the better it gets, because you get better and understand the game more. Really the only problem with Mordhau I see right now are the somewhat weird hitboxes that are really hard to get used to and balancing issues. Balancing issues will be fixed as soon as the perk system rolls in and hitboxes will be tweaked I am sure. I really don't see why you would think Mordhau is worse than Slasher, I don't understand why you would even compare them because they are different to the core

I am absolutely amazed by how Triternion took on ping/latency. I've played with 120-150 ping and NEVER felt ANY lag or delay whatsoever, it felt so smooth. Like, a 150 ping in Mordhau feels like 60-70 ping in Chivalry and literally 0 lag. I have no idea how they did this but this alone is a reason for me to love this game eternally, because that's like the first game ever where I can play on EU servers normally

I have 20 hours in this game and THE ONLY lag I ever experienced was some guy teleporting like 1 meter away from me. That's it

The problem I see with chambering is that some weapons are just too damn slow to punish a feint with chambers. Take the spear for example, I've had numerous situations where I tried to chamber-bypass feint with a spear, but longswords/zweis/halberds are so fast that the player manages to feint AND attack again before my chamber even lands, thus rendering it useless. This doesn't only apply to slash chambers, but to thrust chambers too. The halberd thrust is almost 2-3 times faster than the spear one, so if I were to try to chamber an attack that turned out to be a feint I still lose because the enemy still has enough time to start a new attack AND land it before me, thus I am either forced to cancel attack and evade or cftp. That's a lose-lose situation that just forces me to spam feint or morph all the time. Not to include the annoying bug where you supposedly hit the model yet it does no damage (spears get this bug the most from what I can tell)

Even the alternative mode for spear is too damn slow compared to other weps, while the reach is really not that great compared to other weapons (zwei is like 2-3 cm shorter yet does the same damage and is twice as fast)

If I were to explain it it's something like Battle Royale and Ace Attorney mixed together

But yeah you technically nailed it

And I really hope you are refering to the game series, not to the terrible chinese cartoons that failed at everything they tried to do
