Seem very inaccurate, a lot of the time, a good 30% or more of the time my stabs don't register even though the sword - polearm whatever tip, is clearing and hitting the player model. In Chivalry you were able to drag Stabs, here it seems you cannot, but even when you try and place the stab almost perfectly it seems it does not always register. This is very confusing.

Probably already mentioned but finding a lot of inconsistency with following:

  • Directional attacks don't register on all weapons.
  • Stabs and overhead attacks don't always register or hit even though they clearly go through the mesh. Especially for stabs with pole arms and pole axe etc. The stab also does not go towards the cross-hair but to the side of it, and a lot of the time it does not seem to register a hit.

I have Strike bound to Left Click. Wheel Up bound to Stab. Wheel Down to Overhead. My sensitivity is 0.5, my DPI is 1200. I enabled "Invert X axis".

  • I move the cursor another 2 cm to the left, no change in height, left click. A left to right strike.

I don't know if any of this is intended, but it just feels like I have no control of what I'm doing. Much less when I'm in combat and I move my mouse a lot more. And that's just the regular LMB strike. I bound a left strike to Thumb mouse 1 and Lower left strike to Thumb mouse 2 and it will randomly do inverted attacks as well.

I find the current directional system very inconsistent. Even after a full day of practice it seems it just won't pick up the direction of my intended swings at least 50% or more of the time.

So essentially, after playing for a full day ( love the game ) I have noticed that there is a massive damage penalty for medium and especially light armours that are by no means worth that penalty in terms of the little speed reward you get. Has anyone else noticed this? As soon as I wear heavy armor I win like 70% of the time, with light and medium armor that goes down drastically as often you can't afford a single mistake. BUT, you are not much faster, perceivably.

When the steamvr window loads, go to the Settings -> Developer and then uncheck "Start SteamVR when an application starts".

You'll have to then exit the game and exit the steamvr window, then the game should load normally without trying to VR.

Nope, steamvr.exe does not load but it still loads up all associated processes and files. The game launches /w sound but ends up running at 10fps even at 1920x and I have a beast system /w a 1080ti... :/

Welp, got it to open without steamVR by disabling steamVR in admin console but it seems to still launch it in background. Get like 10fps /w a 1080ti at 1920 lolz

I have the feeling that they are going on the wrong direction for the balancing of ranged weaponry in mordhau from what i'm reading here and there. For instance i'm not a fan of the no heavy armor for archers. It would be great to have a fully plated knight with a crossbow on the side just in case.
Same goes for deflecting arrows with a parry. I understand that a thrown dagger is somewhat slow and big enough for that but an arrow ? What's the point of having large shields hindering your vision if literally any weapon can prevent projectiles ?

TL;DR : Looks like they are planning on making archery crappy because they didn't like it in chivalry. I really hope they make it balanced and fun.

Wow, parrying arrows is one of the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Literally impossible and completely unnecessary. Dodging? I never had an issue dodging around arrows in CHIV.

Archery in Chiv was one of my favorite things and I hope they don't simply nerf it in Mordhau. That is not to say that there should be a higher learning curve and skill required, but also higher reward once you have acquired it.

It's starting my VR/Htc-Vive every single time I launch it, very annoying. Essentially even when I unplug my VIVE. Still happens, then when I close SteamVR the game closes.

Alright, even if I leave VR on it will simply crash to desktop along with SteamVR after a few seconds... Basically, cannot play.
