The animations are messed up since the new update. Swings that aren't anywhere near the enemy's weapon still connect with their parry.17385902.33000007_image.png This is the exact frame that my swing connected to their parry.

i agree the lute should be special and not something everyone can easily get. on top of what frise said, i dont like that full heavily armored knights can spawn with longswords and lutes since it only costs 1 point.

There are a lot of visual issues with head gore from blunt weapon damage.

  1. The gore model placed on the neck is red mush with a femur coming out of it.

  2. If the blunt weapon only causes a partial dismemberment and the head becomes detached, the lower half of the neck model shows a clean cut while the gore model on the upper half of the severed neck has that weird ham bone in it.

  3. If the head is destroyed by a blunt weapon, the head vaporizes and a few tiny, red nuggets spawn in its place

This, in my opinion, looks terrible. I'd have rather seen a broken neck and some crushed metal bump map decal on the helmet or some other alternative. If there is no helmet, there should maybe be some crushed head model or some other localized wounds on the head. I'm no game designer so I don't know exactly what's feasible, but I think nearly anything would look better than my magic hammer turning someone's head into chicken nuggets.

NOTE: This was previously posted in its own thread about a month ago. Marox said hindering widescreen monitors is not intentional and should be considered a bug to be fixed to support widescreen monitors so I'm posting here.

Currenly with my 21:9 (2560x1080p) monitor, my FOV is narrower than 16:9 users. This majorly disadvantages us >16:9 users as the window looks incredibly zoomed in. My request is that the game support widescreen monitors by not forcing a zoomed in/cropped window.

Thanks.

I'm running at 3440 x 1440. I haven't tried 16:9 resolutions as my native resolution works fine, but now you're telling me I've been playing at a disadvantage? Is 21:9 zoomed in and cropped like it is in Overwatch? If so, that's absolutely messed up. There's no reason to cripple those of us who like to use ultra wide monitors, it doesn't provide us an unfair advantage.

Yes, it is cropped just like Overwatch does to widescreen displays.

Currenly with my 21:9 (2560x1080p) monitor, my FOV is narrower than 16:9 users. Some people believe that supporting wide aspect ratios would be a major competitive advantage, though I highly disagree. Even if Triternion does share this stance, I would at least like to be able to play fullscreen in standard 1920x1080p without massive scaling and warping of the image to stretch across the screen. Playing in windowed borderless does not solve this issue. I can however play in windowed mode, but when games are run from the windows desktop, the computer must render both the desktop and game window causing a performance hit and additional input latency. Though this limitation imposed on widescreen users may have been designed to put us on a so-called "level playing field" with standard 16:9 users, it actually majorly disadvantages us >16:9 users. My request is that the game either not force a zoomed in/cropped window for widescreen, or at least allow widescreen users to play fullscreen with vertical black bars on the sides that would reduce the display to 16:9 rather than stretching the image across.

Perhaps this solution could be achieved simply by tweaking some configuration files but I've not had any luck in finding the appropriate file(s). If anyone has a solution to this issue or if the developers could consider supporting >16:9 aspect ratios, that would be great. Thanks.
