Triternion has proven to be capable of making their own decisions. They shouldn't "listen" to trash, nor should they appeal to top-tier players. All they have to listen to is constructive feedback - no matter where it comes from.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear! Will the menus be number or letter combinations though? E.g. V11 = Thank you OR VGT = Thank you? (Or have the devs not said anything about that detail yet?)

If Slasher's anything to go on, it will be Letter>Number.

Chivalry's voice commands were extremely popular. Honestly, I doubt the game would have been as successful as it's been without them. These commands allow for players to express themselves, and Mordhau will build on this with more diverse voice commands and the addition of animated emotes.

These things, in combination with self-expression through the way you use the combat system, will be a huge pull-factor for a lot of potential players. So yeah, this will definitely make it into the game.

What makes Chivalry feel like Chivalry, and M&B like M&B. In my opinion, the most important differences are the presence of timed parries in Chivalry, while M&B relies on held blocks - this essentially changes the entire flow of combat.

Then there's M&B's 4-directional blocking, instead of Chivalry's more, in my opinion, intuitive approach of having to aim at the incoming weapon to block it. This also makes chambering in Mordhau enjoy the same intuitiveness.

Another big difference I noticed is the weight of the weapons. Even though it doesn't necessarily affect the mechanics of the combat system, it does wonders for the feel of clobbering people with your maul. For all the criticisms you can throw at Chivalry, they did weight right. This, in combination with the superb auditory feedback CMW provides, is what got me hooked in the first place. M&B never did preform well in this department, if you ask me.

While Mordhau borrows mechanics - like chambers - from M&B, that do have a huge impact on the combat system as a whole, the feel will definitely be more like Chivalry.

It depends on luck (window is too small), happens rarely, and not when the opponent uses a fast weapon. In Chiv at least, maybe in Mordhau it will be different.

I honestly can't remember the last time someone was able to block a successful matrix using CFTP. It probably just comes down to timing.
