Unreadable attacks.
The term is thrown around by players of all skill levels quite often, usually when describing an attack that is difficult to consistently defend against. Although Mordhau has no truly unreadable attacks, there are certain maneuvers so difficult to read that even the best players will struggle to consistently deal with them in most situations. Keyword: consistently. Skilled players do their best to mitigate unreadable attacks with good footwork: trying to give themselves more space (and therefore time) to read, as well as repositioning themselves so the attack isn't floating right in front of their camera. Other mitigation examples: running away, crouching, torso movement, jumping.

At low levels of play, properly-executed feints and morphs are extremely difficult to read, especially when they don't mitigate any of their attacks - usually either face-hugging or backpedaling at all times. These players will either panic parry or gamble almost every single time. Even after hundreds of hours of practice, they can still be difficult to read consistently. An intermediate player may still fall for a well-executed morph about once every three or four times. Combine it with decent accels, drags, footwork, etc. and even a player with over 500 hours of playtime will find it impossible to consistently read his opponent's mix-up. So how much practice should be necessary to consistently read a particular maneuver?

The reading-difficulty of an attack should be determined primarily by the difficulty to perform the maneuver.
An example of this would be the undercut-waterfall / wessex / That One Undercut Drag / whatever you want to call it. This attack is one of the hardest maneuvers to perform currently, and it's also quite difficult to read as well. On the other hand we have attacks that are very simple to perform (i.e. stab ripostes or bastard sword morph/feint mix-ups) that are also extremely difficult to read consistently even by god tier players. Part of a maneuver's difficulty is how situational it is, as well. Stabs are not situational at all: they are precise, fast, won't accidentally hit teammates or walls, and hard to runaway from so they should be weaker in terms of damage or be easier to read.

I think it's safe to say that the majority of reasonable players would agree that simple-to-input attacks that are also exceedingly hard to read (Even by top tier players) have no place in the game, but at what point should even the difficult-to-perform maneuvers be nerfed or removed due to how inconsistent they are to read? The danger in removing certain "unreadable" attacks is that it makes defense easier, which can sometimes lead to really bad compensations like nerfing parry (increases inconsistency across the board) or over-buffing basic attacks (stabs). It can also make the game feel really stale as the number of viable offensive options continues to dwindle, and complex attack manipulation takes a back seat to mechanics-heavy playstyles.

Post all bugs related to Gold, XP, and Cosmetics - including but not limited to:

  • Temporary or permanent loss of Gold, XP, or Rank
  • Not receiving Gold or XP after playing a match
  • Not receiving a cosmetic you just bought or being double-charged
  • Being unable to use a cosmetic you've purchased before, or having to purchase it again
  • Crashes or problems related to consolidating items

Include as much relevant issue as possible, such as: steps to reproduce, the server you were playing on, when it happened, what cosmetic(s) it happened with, and if possible: a screenshot or video (set youtube videos to unlisted).

Bonus suggestion: blunt stabs just deal half damage, no bleed. Looking at you maul / mace stabs.

As everyone knows, stabs are completely busted right now, and the developers are incapable of fixing them. If they could fix them, they would have been fixed many, many months ago. But it's not that simple. A simple number tweak isn't enough. We need to rethink stabs from scratch, come up with a new mechanic entirely. The suggestion is quite simple: half of stab's initial damage is converted to "bleed damage", and players are dealt 3 damage per second until the bleed damage is fully dealt. For instance, if a stab would do 50 initial damage, it instead deals 25 initial damage, and 25 bleed damage. That player's life would then drain by 3 per second over the next ~8.3 seconds, until the full damage is dealt. Bleed damage is a fixed rate of 3/second, so getting hit by another stab would simply add more bleed duration. Furthermore, using a bandage, medkit, or standing still until life regen begins will completely stop the bleed effect. If I have to explain why this is a good idea, you are probably a Bastard Sword user.

Ever buy something by accident?
Ever buy something and realize you don't like how it looks after all?
Ever buy something and were disappointed by the lack of individual customization?
Ever buy the plume helmet as a 3rd person player and realize it completely blocks your view, making the game unplayable?
Ever wanted to try out an entire set of stuff to see how it looks together, but didn't wanna commit to actually buying it yet?

Yeah me neither.

But maybe some day it would be nice to have a simple Refund Purchase button for cosmetics, for those who want it.
(Could also include 1-hour refund limit to avoid mass-refunds when a patch comes out with an expensive new skin.)

Just make a suggestion thread called "Option to refund cosmetics", and explain how it's too easy to misclick an option and spend tens of thousands of gold on something you didn't actually want, and it would be nice to refund things - maybe with a 1 hour refund period to avoid mass-refunds to buy new things whenever there's a patch.

EDIT: Here, I made it for you. Maybe the developers will take a couple minutes out of their busy schedule to add it some day. Your 60k gold sacrifice will not be in vain. One day, 3rd person players all over the world will look back on this day and say Hzpnotoad's 60k gold died for our sins, and the plume menace will not obscure our vision ever again.

The best way to instantly improve Frontline would be to remove Horses.

They can be added back into the game once reworked. They are absolutely broken and almost everyone dislikes dealing with them; it's a case of the riders having fun at everyone else's expense. I'd legitimately rather be walled off in spawn with a troll teammate using a toolbox: because that's easier to counter and less annoying to deal with. I'd rather die to a catapult or stray arrow 5 times in a row than to die to a horse even once, because I can accept the "battlefield chaos" of random projectiles, but dying to some braindead rider feels like shit.

Problems with horses:

  • Horses cost nothing to use / Spawn for free / Don't require perks to be proficient
  • Toolbox/Traps are the only semi-viable counter, but it requires multiple people to gimp their loadout just to deal with 1 guy
  • The rider's attacks have artificially extended reach (might be a desync / hitbox issue)
  • Your attacks often go right through the rider and deal no damage due to desync / hitbox issues
  • Moving at even the slowest trotting speed, their non-couched attacks deal massive extra damage (usually enough to 1-shot)
  • Couched attacks require 0 skill to pull off, and yet are the most deadly thing in the entire game
  • Their hoofstep sounds are barely audible - you almost never hear them coming until its too late
  • Mosquito syndrome: very hard to kill, and even when you finally do, they'll just come right back on a new horse
  • Killing a rider usually doesn't feel rewarding or satisfying, especially if you dismounted them and someone else got the kill
  • Teammates don't understand the concept of keeping the horse alive and hiding it in your base after you've dismounted someone
  • People who can't even manage a 0.5 KD ratio off the horse frequently maintain 4.0 KD ratios

You don't need shift. Bind Sprint to W. Now you always sprint when moving forward.
If you want to walk, bind another key specifically for walking.

why do weapons with really good swings but horrible stabs get their stabs buffed with super speed? Baxe, war axe, mace and especially messer are really notorious for simply spam stabbing until the inevitable morph or morph feint comes along. Mace and messer should definitely have much slower stabs to be balanced. Sharp tips or not, they're both heavy and messer is still a two handed sword with as much weight as Longsword. A heavy sword with a shitty thrust should not get faster stabs, it should simply have a shitty stab.

Currently at a point in the stab animation, it jumps forward so suddenly that it looks nearly instant. Because of this the stab actually being "faster" (shorter windup and/or release) doesn't even matter that much, although mace stabs are definitely annoying. The thing is, even Zweihander stabs seem instant because of how stabs work right now. I'm honestly surprised that you didn't mention Bastard Sword, which is arguably the most broken weapon in the game right now, especially because of its stabs.

It's not too late. Devs should put out a planned content and features videos, or at least a written post with some images, to maintain what's left of the initial hype and keep people curious about upcoming stuff in Mordhau. Restate the obvious, reiterate what's already known, it doesn't matter: just whet the appetites. It's something any of the devs could easily throw together in an afternoon and it would make a significant difference for Mordhau's future.

So I was thinking the other day about how Mordhau is going to have female characters added to it, then began to google images of shields. I imagined myself being surrounded by no less than three (3) female characters, holding their big kite shields in my face, rendering me utterly helpless. The thought of these powerful women holding up their shields and becoming invincible made me weak at the knees. But I figured, why stop there? The imagination is a powerful thing, after all. I imagined all of the women having the fat slider all the way up, they were armed with Bastard Swords, each wearing a different color of Landsknecht legs, thrusting the Bastard Swords forward so quickly my eyes couldn't even keep up, and of course chainmail mitten gauntlets. My mouth was watering at this point as they alternated between held block and unreadable instant stab animations, making my eyes roll back into my head as I imagined their ear-piercing female screams, like the dreaded howling of a banshee. It wasn't long after that I went from 60ml down to 47ml of semen. Why? Are you aware of this issue? I really want my cum back! Please don't allow Bastard Sword stab animations to plague your players! Please give me back my cum.

[2 Points] Flash Wound - When reduced to 0 hp, the most recent wound you've received will burst into a flash of light and blind everyone within 100 feet. The blind effect lasts for up to 2 seconds, depending on how close you were to the flash.

Not a bad idea, but it doesn't solve the current problem of horses costing nothing to use.
