I know as much as you regarding weapon development. To be honest I imagine the devs have other things to worry about than implementing Polehammer/Lucerne etc, so I wouldn't expect them to invest time into a weapon so similar to poleaxe until much later down the road. It should absolutely be its own weapon and not a skin though.

Indeed. I'm just happy to know it will be it's separate weapon when it does make it into the game.

If it ever makes it ingame, I'd like to see it as a separate weapon category.

Sweet! Glad to hear that.

According to wikipedia, the infallible source I use in most of my biology papers, the hammer side was pronged to crunch through specifically chainmail while the beak side was best against plate but well rounded against everything else.

I imagine main mode would be beak side and the altgrip would give most reach and use pronged hammer side which would excel against medium and below.

Sounds good, exactly how it should be. Do we have any official information anywhere? I really hope it will be a separate weapon and not just a skin for poleaxe or something.

Will they be added as their own weapons or will they just be skins of something else? I've been asking this for some time now and never got an answer. Has there been any mention of them in the Discord?

Lucerne is a combination of the bec de corbin with the blunt war hammer. The 'hammer' is actually a three- to four-pronged head mounted atop a 2m-long (7 foot) polearm stick. It bears a long spike on its reverse, and an even longer spike extending from the very top. It is effective at puncturing or smashing armor, and much like a man catcher can be used for dismounting riders.

Unlike the Lucerne hammer, the bec de corbin is primarily used with the 'beak' or fluke to attack instead of the hammer head. The hammer face balancing the beak is often blunt instead of the multi-pronged Lucerne, and the beak tends to be stouter; better designed for tearing into thinner plate armor, chainmail or padded jacks . Also, the spike mounted on the top of head is not nearly as long and thin as in the Lucerne.

I got bored of it after a page or two and never looked back.

I think Fallout 4 did Power Armor the bestest. It really made you feel like a walking tank.

I very much appreciate all the work you did for this. Thanks for adding the arming sword.

For some reason the hitbox of the shields seems very quirky to me. I've had loads of times where it looks like the enemy just hit straight through despite I was holding the block button and aiming the shield precisely. Parrying is more reliable than blocking with a shield, which is not how it's supposed to be I think. Damage for one handed weapons feels fine. For example, it takes 3 stabs in the torso from a bastard sword or 3 swings from a cleaver to kill heavy armor.

Lucerne hammer or bec de corbin could be sweet. It should be capable of doing thrust damage by swinging with the beak, blunt damage with the other end and stab for piercing damage with the tip spike.

For Honor is pretty entertaining in my opinion. Network connection issues are bit of a problem, but they should get fixed when they finally switch from peer to peer into dedicated servers soon™. Also there are big balance changes and improvements coming in this month.

Is that pothelm exclusive to a backer tier? I hope they will add one with less embellishment that would be accessible to everybody.

Hmm. The new gameplay videos make it look quite good to me. If you haven't I recommend checking them out just for the fun of it. I plan to buy it on sale, which might take a while, but oh well.

I think it was a nice video with some interesting points. Could it be possible that "Deus Vult" was just something to say in the shouting contest against "Allahu akbar"?

According to various sites and Dark Souls Community Hub members, it will be 40€ for PC and those who own the original Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition get 50% off so 20€ for them. Confirmed changes so far are the ones TheDankestMeme mentioned. Finally shift from peer to peer to dedicated servers and the total of 4 slots for friendly phantoms and invaders gets expanded into 6 so I think that means you can summon 2 and get invaded by 3, which makes it a nice 3v3. Also graphics should get an update.
