Hi.

I asked this question on Mordhau Mapping & Modding Discord but couldn't get any answers.

Now it's out of recent chat so I'm writing here.

I just made a simple skirmish map.

I put BP_mordhauplayerstart on each side and changed Team value to 0 and 1.

But somehow, when I test the game, the spawn points spawns random team.

Also when I summon bots to test, bots won't spawn if someone is on the spawn.

I couldn't spawn when bots are on the spawn point.

Server Log : FindPlayerStart: PATHS NOT DEFINED or NO PLAYERSTART with positive rating

This might be a related log on server. Does anyone know the solution for this?

Thank you.

My server has a custom map from mod.io and it was updated. Since then, some players had this issue so I told them to quit the mordhau, manually download mod from mod.io and replace with it. This seemed to work. Very annoying issue. I can't tell everyone the solution.

Hi. This didn't happen before some patches were done.

When the bots spawn and track us, there isn't any packetloss or lag.

But when we start battle with bots, The game gets a lot of lag and red packetloss.

These are the log lines when it happens. (just copied some)

Yeah this happens all over the world and dev thinks it's my server's memory problem. I believe they will soon find way to fix this problem.

Fact is every servers are crashed with this. Even a server with 64gb ram server, server on windows, server hosted with "Rent Server" on Mordhau Game. I should bring the player to official server and test.

Would probably be better to post the contents of the associated file in

/home/steam/mordhau/Mordhau/Saved/Crashes/

Although I suspect it might not show much, as I've seen segmentation faults when developing stuff before and logs didn't provide much help.

EDIT: I remember your other topic, and I'm pretty sure you had memory related issues setting up your server. I think you have bad RAM.

Hi.

Applying Warden's Grandmace skin(Grandmace Skin) and buying it on Horde mode shuts the server down.

It happens by only some players.

When a player did this, the skins was invisible and couldn't hit anything.

But this didn't shut the server down.

Another player did this and the server died immediately.

I told the player who caused crash to verify files.

He did it and but Steam said there is no problem with files.

We did the test again but the server still died.

Here are the video about it and the crashing log.

(Watch from 8:25)

Hi. I just wiped out the OS and did yum update completely and reinstalled Server. but still my Horde server was crashed. A player who was in the server at the moment told me, he bought the most expensive Evening Star skin (like 40k or 50k gold) and applied it and joined my server. When he bought Evening Star at the server, the server crashed he told. I couldn't join the server because I can't play until tomorrow so I couldn't see it with my eyes. I asked him for testing it on the local Horde mode. He showed me the screenshot and he was holding the Evening Star with the most expensive skin but the weapon itself was invisible. But he said it didn't crash the game entirely. And then I asked him to join my test Frontline server with the skin. He spawned with the skin but this time, there was no error. not at all. The Evening Star was visible and the server didn't crash. I think that skin causes trouble on only Horde mode. (He told me the most expensive Mace skin also causes crash). I don't have the skins, I don't have time today, I couldn't check myself but I hope if this information helps.

My distribution is CentOS Linux release 7.6.1810 (Core)

I don't see any update.txt file on my system.

But if you are talking about steamcmd Mordhau update script, The content is

Are you on a VM or anything? And have you tried reinstalling the OS and ensuring everything is up to date with

sudo yum update

No. It's not on VM. Also I didn't do yum update for a while. I'll do it when my server is empty. Thank you for taking care of my problem.

No problem. You should definitely update more frequently if you're using CentOS. It contains well needed security fixes. If it doesn't work, wipe the OS, update and try again.

Hi again.
Do you know how to set scheduled task like these?
every 05:59, kill the server
every 06:00, start the server

I tried sudo crontab -e
and put
59 5 sudo killall MordhauServer-Linux-Shipping
0 6
sudo su steam -c "nohup /home/steam/mordhau/MordhauServer.sh &"

but it doesn't work I think.
