maybe the point is that we have to miss, and make mistakes whether we are skilled or not... but its likely just a case of a system too far ahead of its peripherals. this game has a lot chivalry dna, cant hide from that no matter how many new sub systems you layer on top of it.

plumes should be a 1 in 16 kind of rarity. that means in a 64 game there will only be 4 plumes on average. which seems a good balance. however within a few years time plumes would become normal, and so you would have to introduce a new kind of cosmetic to differentiate veteran players. but that kind of thing happens naturally anyway.

as for how they are attained, there are numerous ways. kill stats and milestones, ranks, events, clans. i think a plume should be available to non ranked players, as some people are simply not interested in that side of the game.

not only would plumes make great use of the material physics in ue4 (especially during emotes, or on horseback)... they would also have an affect on battle dynamic, as a horde of newbs are likely to chase a plume wearer. or circle away from them, depending their mindset.

a cool feature might be the ability to cut off a plume, to emphasise the tight hitboxes

ah yes the mega server which every one has just found out its been pumping your pc full of unwanted files getting players banned and as one final middle finger made any one that joined it lvl 99 (max lvl) and completely fucked over the feeling of being a high ranked veteran for the community

i think the door kick ragdoll is necessary as some doors you are able to get stuck in by opening/closing at a certain angle. namely the tower door in grad near the large staircase.

in regards to player MMORPG player counts its not possible right now. But there is a game called rising storm: vietnam which has high graphics and a 200 player server which is kind of impressive to me as its still a unreal engine 3 game. So with some tweaking it might be possible for mordhau in the future. But considering the game is dependent on low ping to function normally, our current network technology simply isnt ready for that amount.

As for the elements of MMORPG systems (questing, dialogues, inventories, player variable stats) , they will likely be possible to integrate through the modding support if they are serious about having that. But that is a long ways off yet, possibly a whole year off. In the end it is an interesting idea, the larger maps have a nice range of environments to host an mmo type server.

i made a short thread a few months ago, critiquing the level design of mordhaus maps and comparing it to stoneshill and some other maps. Although the mordhau team have very nice hd assets, the form of the levels themselves needed specifically your kind of design approach and creativity to make them perfect. (in my opinion). IF you are still available for work they should definitely hire you for maps as its what their focus is on right now.

if they consider more outlandish regions i would hope they include them in a seperate game as the original would end up looking like for honor or some other shit game with no real art direction or design consistency

what disturbs me about the medkit bag is that it takes almost as long to select and use it as it takes to heal naturally. natural healing should be slower or medkit bag faster. OR medkit can speed up natural heal rate for a duration to make it useful beyond a 1 time use.

this is a wonderful idea. also in regards to missed attacks. i think horizontal swings should have higher punishment (stam reduct, recovery, whatever) than vertical swings and stabs as they are easier to land hits with.

also im not sure why active parry exists at all when such things as parry into parry exist. considering a riposte can be a near instant attack, how much more buffer does one need
