Get rid of spawn locations that can be easily blocked (especially by something as stupid as closing a door and standing in front of it), and fix the votekick system. In 700 hours of Chivalry I was never once trapped at spawn by a "teammate." Grad is particularly bad.

Kick is not ban.

It's supposed to result in a temporary server ban of what, 15 minutes? Otherwise what is the point of a votekick? The problem is, people can still leave before the votekick goes through and hop right back on the server, even though that loophole was supposedly fixed in one of the most recent patches.

I thought this was fixed. People can still dodge vote kicks and come right back.

I was in deathmatch killing people with the Rapier, then someone say I was a Raper fag and start a vote kick.
I got kicked during 10 minutes for no reason.

How on earth can we votekick in deathmatch on official Deathmatch server ?
The community became worst everyday and I got kicked for using almost everything, like Rapier, shield, corssbow, firebomb, I even got kicked for using a dagger.

Guy, please do something against all these cry baby that just press Yes.
I got kicked for using the Rapier but the dude with 54 unbelievable character who is toxic still in the game !

Take a screenshot and report him for both votekick abuse and hate speech. Then forget it about it and move on to another server.

Does a votekick temporarily ban players based on their Steam name? Even an IP address isn't good enough, as people can just cycle through the servers on a VPN. It should be based on their Steam ID.

It would help if you could at least tab out of the end game overlay and go back to the game.

Maybe he meant the eveningstar?

He must have, but I agree with the sentiment. I want a 50k Greatsword skin.

Hitstop does apply to the Maul, just not on lethal attacks. It takes a lot of practice to get a Maul headshot or a lot of special circumstance for a maul to cleave, but if you were using it you'd be begging for it to be as it is now. At least, Jax would be. In the future, be careful around those things. The trick is to not let them swing.

Yeah, I meant the exception being that it doesn't apply if you kill your opponent seems silly on a weapon that can 1 shot anyone. And yeah, mauls are generally not a problem 1v1, but they're ridiculous in the chaos of Frontline.

From the guide on Steam:

Blunt weapons usually deal the most damage to armored opponents, but can only hit one person at a time due to hitstop. (this does not apply if you kill the opponent, where your swing continues fully through release.)

Hmm, thanks. Seems kind of silly for hitstop not to apply to a weapon that can 1 shot anyone. No wonder so many people are using the maul in Frontline.

How are people getting double kills with a maul? Another player and I were facing a maul. He swung and killed us both with one shot. I thought the maul was supposed to stop on hit.

This is the second maul glitch I've run into in the last couple of days.

Must've been a sledgehammer

It was definitely a maul. It had a maul skin, and the kill reported it as a maul.

Has anyone else run into a player comboing with a weapon that can't combo? I was playing Frontline earlier and a player missed a right swing with the maul, and immediately transitioned to a left swing. He absolutely did not have a 900ms recovery period, or any recovery period for that matter. I wasn't expecting the second swing and took one to the head.

I'd love to be able to play Deathmatch with more people on larger maps.

Does this do anything other than confuse players who try to ditch the 240 system and bind their attacks?

Turn off "Mouse X-Axis Flips Attack Side" in the controls section of settings.

It should be changed to be off by default.

For whatever reason this never happened to me on Release #2. It happened a lot on 1, and now again on 3.

Thanks for the possible solution Ulkenstride! I'll try that next time it happens.

When a new match starts up, half of the time I find myself to be like a ghost on the battlefield. I can't hit anyone, and apparently, no one can see me. This has only ever happened on Frontline servers. They can take a while to get into. It's frustrating to have to quit the server after half a match.

Fucking hell, please just lock this thread and make it go away. Why are you guys participating in such petty arguments? We all want to make the game as good as it can be. Don't discredit your input by engaging in shit like this. Be civil, be friendly, or just bow out.

Timed parries and the various ways to get around them are what make Chivalry and Mordhau interesting. Chivalry would have died a long time ago if it wasn't for the ability to manipulate real time strikes (dragging). Feints are a cheap way to get around a mediocre player's parry; drags require far more skill to effectively pull off vs anyone with much experience. Just leave it alone and learn to parry late.

Do you really think "noobs" will be happier when they drop their weapon and die after they run out of stamina from panic parries or held parries? It's not going to save them. It's going to kill the fucking game.

Hopefully Mordhau sells so well on release that the skill of the alpha testers won't even matter; we'll be outnumbered 100 to 1, and most new players will simply encounter other new players. It really shouldn't be an issue.
