I think you're over-estimating how competitive the 3 main modes are. Frontline is chaotic as hell and some noob can get quad kills easily with a catapult, BR has tons of randomness by nature and isn't an inherently competitive mode, and Horde is PVE.

Having 1st-person only doesn't improve these modes, and 3p has been reworked significantly with the changes crush has made. If we were talking about ranked or a competitive esports kinda situation, I would agree that having 3p would be bad, and that in a competitive environment you need to have the same forced perspective. But these modes aren't a ranked playlist where it matters.

what stauxie said, if you get used to it the difference between binds/240 is negligible and you're more likely to die due to a misplay not regarding 240, like not reading a feint or smth

head is harder to hit, but headshots deal much more damage than chest hits. so even though they work a bit differently, they're about equal in terms of importance - therefore they have the same movespeed penalty

sometimes killcams are counterproductive if they aren't perfect though; if the killcam isn't perfectly synced up it might leave someone more confused than without it

that being said it'd be cool to have em post release if it's possible (not sure on the technical side) but we'd have to make sure to do them properly, otherwise like I said they could be detrimental

one thing that doesn't help is like 60 shield threads, for example a tap/hold system won't work afaik because of input delay which i have addressed on one of these threads but it gets lost

like I said we're looking into options, one small thing that might help could be kickstun returning on shields.
but as for major overhauls we have some ideas that could be good, but we're internally testing our options right now to see what is the best course of action

it's a design change, not a technical one

we know shields are bad rn because they just invalidate the core gameplay loop (timed parries and offesne based on this) but it's not a simple fix.

I or the devs might not respond on every shield thread but we read them
