If you want to not be completely useless as an archer you have to actually be somewhere remotely near the people you are shooting at instead of trying to shoot enemies across the map from your spawn area. This is how archery is intended to work and it should stay that way.

I'm really hoping they add an attack and defend game type similar to Team Objective from Chivalry. TO is what held my interest in Chivalry for so long and I think it would be a great addition to the game. Frontline is a lot of fun but having another large-scale game mode would keep it fresh when you get tired of playing one or the other.

Shields are a crutch for new players that hinders the growth of their skill because it bypasses many of the game's mechanics. They are also boring to fight against and make 1vX absurdly difficult for how easy they are to use. Saying you can use tactics against shields that also apply to non-shield users isn't a good argument. Shields should have trade-offs but there aren't any and they are a direct upgrade for 1h weapons.
Does your game's resolution match your monitor's?
How about this: if you block an attack with a shield outside of what a normal parry window is then it works like a clash. So if your shield block is not timed correctly, you will still block the hit but both players would be able to immediately attack.

I've said it before but until the devs fix this glaring issue I'll keep saying it: The surrender emote needs a serious buff. It's literally in the bottom tier of emotes. I've won maybe 2 duels with it and only because of my opponent commiting suicide or already being dead.
i like using both
LMB: 240 strike
scroll up: directional stab
scroll down: directional upper strike
i dont like using MMB
