The better players I've seen in EU and NA don't overly rely on chambers because it makes them predictable and susceptible to drags (which one can compensate for with mechanical skill, but still makes you predictable in what attack you're going to use). The more free form nature of the attacks from parries and ripostes combined with well used chambers allows someone to play better with some actual sense of unpredictability in their play style.

This is called neutral game - where a player doesn't overly rely on one mechanic to try and beat the others. I've lost count of the number of times I went to NA with awful ping and just riposted in the opposite direction they were hoping to chamber and ended up landing a hit. That's not to say that mechanical skill with chambering is not useful, but it's just another tool in the box. Oddly enough I've had NA players complain about my "lagger EU footwork scumming."

Came across this strange graphical bug on the Camp map terrain when I just joined a game. It disappeared in about a minute but I couldn't see what the hell was going on in their spawn all that time. What's especially interesting about it is the size of the shapes. It almost looks intentional. insert conspiracy here.

Another unrelated bug I've noticed is the textures going low res for the rest of a game when alt tabbing out and back in again.

Making chamber feints and their following attack hit before the opponent's chamber attempt even more than they do now is a good way to cripple one of the best mechanics in the game.

Try not having a foreign keyboard.

On a serious note, here is the link to the solution: https://mordhau.com/forum/topic/10405/console-wont-open-at-all/#c6

Edit:
I forgot to add the command but Ceegal has thankfully corrected that. I could have sworn it was in the patchnotes anyway.

The game is crying out for people to get better at teamplay (by playing these modes)judging by the amount of team damage I receive per game - on the few times it cycles to them.

Just make a 64 player pit favela server for Brazilians named "Come Brazil."

I slept badly but felt better than ever getting up at 6am. I can chalk this one up to Mordhau.

What exactly is horrendous about chivalry's server browser?

  1. No autojoin.
  2. Bug where all the servers vanish if you change a filter.
  3. Bug where filters won't change even if you want them to, and they keep resetting.
  4. Bug where joining becomes an infinite loop where nothing happens and you're left waiting like a fuckwit.
  5. Refreshing doesn't always display new and current information.

Edit: Why isn't there an option to block/ignore stuff from specific users? This forum turned to stage 4 cancer in no time.

Why would anyone get triggered enough to need a block feature on a public forum? Just ignore the post(s) from the person(s) you don't like and scroll down.

Ayy pattern welding!

Every single time I think this game couldn't get any better - it gets knocked out the park into the stratosphere again.

Well played lads. You probably could have ignored us because we'd put up and shut up as we like your game too much - but you did the right thing instead. Keep that business practice and you'll go far. Thank you.

Just give something that all kickstarter backers have for cool points. I'm not sure what the scoreboard looks like but it'd be cool in say two years time to be able to check it and see which players in the lobby are old school.

Will 3 pack and 5 pack backers get all of the titles at the same time at the supplied email address?

The threats of kicks and the stun punishment for getting hit by one should be enough to stop facehugging.

jfc rework the drags. Shit like 1:25 and 5:19 shouldn't be possible. A (almost) fully extended stab dragged into the side dealing 100% damage... It's Chivalry all over again where weapons were sticks with fucking contact explosives on it.

And no, I'm not against dragging as long as it's reasonable.

Inconsistent damage is an awful idea because it makes it hard to tell what will kill your opponents. The latter stab only occurred because the opponent wasn't facing the strike.

I'd rather have inconsistent damage than this: https://youtu.be/zx_GzGn1QYQ?t=17m4s
Set the playback speed to 0.25.

That literally had nothing to do with dragging. You literally showed an animation error. What the fuck?

He was talking about damage inconsistency. That applies to every attack, dragged and non-dragged.

No when I talk about damage inconsistency, I mean that a strike shouldn't do less damage if slowed down or more if accelerated. A stab with a battle axe can still do less damage than a slash/chop, because those damage differences are easy to learn.

The engraved longsword seems to be shown at 5:59 if anyone is interested.
