!No puns to devs or anything intended, these are just thoughts ive summed up mostly from conversations in-game with some personal input!
PS: Perk system coming soon, alot of changes possibly coming so these are just summaries so far:

  1. Having an option to turn off visual weapon-tracers, even though i know the game is not based on realism, visual tracers are not necessary for reading feints or attacks in general and is a visual effect that i would assume alot of ppl find highly unecessary (personally i think the invisible tracers in chivalry looked much better and gave a better sense of "muh realism")

  2. Flinch+knockback animations are somewhat over-exaggerated making it seem like the characters being hit are weightless

  3. The fast runningspeed in general makes footwork and hits inconsistent and promotes facehugging to a larger extent than if the movement speed was decreased to the point it would benefit reach of the weapon more and make the player learn to know when to strike and defend be more consistent like in chivalry. People wielding shorter weapons have to live with the fact that it should be harder to hit in a melee slasher instead of crying about not hitting the opponent with their dildo sized weapon as ive seen in recent posts making the devs increase the runningspeed for easier reach which nerfs the longer weapons in a high degree making all weapons very identical to eachother and less diffrence which is boring.

  4. The game is heavy armor meta, change my mind. Less armor doesnt give you any benefits except from the SMALL percentage speed increase, which i mentioned above is too fast already, but we will see when the perk system comes.

  5. Cheaper weapons have less restricted turncap and easier swingmanipulation than some of the most expensive ones. Expensive weapons are more for teamplay, but you can use cheaper weapons just as good for teamplay + you get heavy armor meta benefit. I have seen many cases where players with LS dominate teamplay, mostly because of the easy swingmanipulation and floaty animtions, same with poleaxe and GS.

  6. Soundeffect mechanisms for each piece of diffrent armor getting hit would be nice (t1,t2,t3). Splashing noise when getting hit in heavy/medium is not satisfying at all, we want blunt sounds no matter what weapon hits you, objects hitting metall should sound like it

  7. We understand that glancing blows are necessary for the noob casuals impression that "spins" are non-existant and for the idea of marketting, but it should be thought through carefully for the long term play as glancing blows are a huge unecessary trigger factor that forces people to play in one certain way with less manouverability to deal with enemies in 1vX aswell as 1v1. You dont have to play like a retard to do glancing blows, but people play diffrently and some people dont understand that it happens more frequently to some people and that they are wrong and it should be just one way to fight (stamina warfare / caveman style).

Marketting is really important we get that, we dont want noobs to play the game and be dissapointed. But the biggest problems from the beginning were already fixed which are reverse attacks, backswings, rainbows and all the cancer from chivalry. But being restricted in how players wants to do their footwork combined with their attacks removes a big contribution to the skillcap and it would be great if devs could look further into restricting 360s, but be more friendly in terms of heavy turns/swings in 1vX/1v1s, because right now it feels like you get a glancing blow everytime you ahve to turn 180 degrees. Please loosen up a bit on the glancing blows for the sake of skillcap and the mental health of opressed players :=)

I completely agree in that case. Why does a blunt poke deals so few damage in one case, and so much in another ? I mean the eveningstar clearly have a pointy end to stab with, but the maul doesn't, it should be as good as an axe's stab and deals around 10-20 damage max.
The maul's stab have to keep it's speed though, without at least one fast attack on your weapon you can easily get gambled to death.

I gotta agree with the weapon length / speed. Speed has way more pros than reach, and idk if thats good. It just makes high cost weapons worse than the lowcost faster weps and thats how the game is atm
