Because of the chase mechanic its the plate armor that runs faster. and thats not only unfair for the longbows, its also unfair for the other characters that want to rely on speed or even engineers. how are they supposed to do their job if a tanky warrior chases them while they only have a hammer for repairing, a tool box to fortify and a medikit to aid their allies. why are they slower? please explain that.

Technically speaking Medieval knights were rarely cunkly tanks that were slow to move, infact they were alot more noisey than they are heavy.

If you were to make naked sprinters faster you'd see the return of untouchable tomato builds.
Besides this is mordhau you're fight to fight for your survival not run away.

Or you could always sidesprint, it wont trigger the chase mechanic in your enemy.

Horde mode basically devolves into permanently backpedaling and swinging. Easily getting to wave 15 and then promptly dying to super bots isn't engaging.

Maybe it's the nature of Mordhau being a melee game, but permanently backpedaling and swinging at bots that follow you in single file isn't fun or engaging. Bots don't really react to feints and morphs. Shield enemies run directly into your kicking range over and over.

It just feels like an afterthought.

yeah i never seen anyone get past wave 20

I've actually completed hordemode twice. It ends at wave 21.

Even simple locations like the moving platform in Mountain Peak causes the bots to get "stuck" and stop following you, so then ALL bots resort to throwing turds at ALL players, just because one player was unreachable.

Spawning multiple archers with laser accuracy is also annoying.

I enjoy Mordhau a lot, but like i said, this game's version of horde mode is the least amount of fun i've ever had in any game to date. It needs to be reworked completely.

Changes to archers should be threefold:

1- Damage drops with the distance it travels.
2- Increase base damage because of point 1.
3- Allow them to perform kicks.

I never understood the reason why point 3 wasn't a thing from the getgo.

Mounted Crossbow kills will show up as a ballistas kill on your top right corner.

The one campfire in the log storage area of Taiga has no flame despite the fact it can burn you to death. I'm confused as to why the campfire in the same map in the camp doesn't have this glitch.

This is actually false, the hooded horde bots just have buffed speed atop of having a carving knife (fastest weapon in the game). You can test by fighting against a shielded hordebot to find out that they actually run out of stamina and when they block with no stamina they get a long stun and bend their spines forward much like a player would in early alpha versions of the game.

Honestly I'd much rather have the hordebots be ragdolled to the ground like players are when they block fists with no stamina instead of seeing them get disarmed or get their current effect.

Recently I got myself stuck in one of the many places in Taiga wherein the devs know you can get stuck on and attempted to use console commands only to find out that most of them either dont work or arent recognized by the console at all, in spite of being commands that are suggested by the console line.

My initial intention was to suggest a noclip command or a forceRagdollOnSelf to escape situations like these but it will all be for nught if I cant even use the console properly.

Sorry i dont open links to discord channels, because i dont like that app.But if you can post a conclusion of the discord conversation here, then we can of course argue it.

you can deploy those toolbox walls right the moment the horse is about to hit you and it will completely stop the horse charge. Same happens with pavise shields (or used to).
