i wouldnt host from home regardless how good your net is, unless you have a dedicated 100/100mbit connection itll lag, UE engine contributes to this. if you are going to get a server steer clear of Xeon CPU's, i havent read to much into UE4 but if its anything like UE3 and its poop hyperthreading, i7 with a higher clock speed will out perform a Xeon greatly. my server was a 5960X OC'd to 5.0ghz and was running 40 people TO with 80 Tick.

Server files will be released by Dev's when the time comes, in steam tools, or a individual download from a cloud etc

all good, ive shut down my servers with Chiv and await for mordhau, already notified my host and are waiting the files to get them on asap

will there be a list of approved server providers allowed to host Mordhau ? i will like to get my servers running as soon as possible. possible to get the servers files to providers before release date ?

Or maybe a punishment system, if you die you can select a punishment for the teamkiller, so if it was deliberate intent you can select punish (What ever the punisment may be), or if it was an legit accident in the heat or LMB warfare you can select forgive, with Punishment at the controls of the victim there will be more emphasis on apologies and general courtesy in the game as well.

More/different/strict punishments,

With recent games not naming any, Vote kick abuse was terrible, if people were more conscious of their attacks due strict SERVER CFG SIDE punishments, would be amazing

From what i have read, time is the punishment for team damage/death, can this figure be changed for more strict Time per HP lost, that can be changed in the server CFG,

Mirror Damage, Could be fun.

You die when you team kill.

There was not enough punishment for team killing and as a result vote kick aboos, whinging etc. would like to see some emphasis on this.

So from my understanding there will be official matchmaking servers, im assuming for ranked.

I cant seem to find any topics or confirmation about this, Can anyone shed some light on the idea?

Im hoping they stay with server browsers and allowing people to have private servers!! I dont think any PC developer will take that wrong direction. Leave that to CoD and Consoles

Hmm i think matchmaking will ruin it. i have a retarded brother who i enjoy playing chiv with. hes lucky to get a teamkill in a game of chiv.

I dont think giving copies out of the game as part of the kick starter is viable.

Emblems and skins always win wars.

Also animations, i.e Taunts, when you press C in chiv you get the standard class dependant dance, adding unique ones would be pretty awesome.

What does dx12 have to do with multicore support, its can be dx9 and have it. as long as the developers code the game with multicore support (adding processes to individual cores) there wont be an issue.

but hopefully dx12 gets the tic

Drags are very easily blockable in CHIV, backswings, lookdowns and slows, are quite easy to block, blocking is a skill in chiv, and very more so in this game, if you have watched the video release 2 days ago you will know.

So if you complaining about drags etc, its a decent indicator you are going to have alot of issue in Mordhau :P

Well Chivalry was a game on its own, it didn't really have the player support. You can say AoC and WB series helped but very little. This game has a decent amount of Chivalry players already interested in it. So a kick starter isn't entirely necessary to get it going.

Its all in the netcode. Chiv was poor at best. so this can be a win if started correctly, get decent sync and latency would be brilliant

Sling is extremely OP in chiv. Just people are to bad to use it well
