now you can oneshot Couched riders with anything thats pretty efficient way to counter horses

It isn't because you still need to REACH the darn rider.
Which means if you're wearing anything but nothing, you need to have a stick and a LOT of luck.
Otherwise, you're either skewered, or you get hit by the horse and deal no damage.

This needs to happen.
I'm starting to grow really tired of back-to-back invasions.
Let me bloody play some of the OTHER maps, too!

Use a spear’s range to hit them before they hit you. If they are travelling at high speeds it should 1hit them. Or dodge to the side and use billhook to dismount them when they miss you. You can also place a wall infront of them quickly as they’re about to hit you, then dismount them with a billhook and murder them.

Quite frankly, in a game with swords and axes and whatnot, I should not be required to use that one fucking stick that actually has a chance of hitting the horse before I get skewered.

Horses are designed very, very, very poorly.

I still think giving mounted players a chance to lose their weapon because it gets stuck in their target and ripped out of their hand as they ride on would go a long way.

dude I love RNG mechanics in my skill-based game

There's no skill involved in horse-play anyway.
It's all just press W and wait for somebody to accidentally walk into your way.

So your solution to that is to make it even less skill-based?

There's no "less" than zero.
At least my proposal would rein in the stupid random-deaths.

So I've been thinking ...

What if when you kill somebody on horseback, your weapon had a chance to get stuck in your enemy and be ripped out of your hand as you ride on?
With the chance being higher for longer weapons?

I mean, it would make sense to me that when you skewer somebody with a thin stick in full gallop, you risk over-penetrating your target.

I'm counting on an official response.

You're literally breaking the rules and still asking if you could get in trouble for it?

ya its a very very hard thing to get used to aiming without corsairs especially since it seems like the models for anything that fires a projectile is aiming much lower than where its actually pointing however you just gotta keep at it trust me once you get the hang of it you'll be landing shots no problem even long distance becomes easy and you feel cool as hell when you land those shots with only your judgement and no ugly dot on screen to spoil your view

I believe you. But I'm not playing archer very often, so I still think the option would make sense for people who aren't dedicated to being a ranged nuisance. XD

Just stab on my scroll wheel.
It's a lot more fun without bindings.
I DID turn on "angle attack after press" option, though.

I like playing with the Bastard Sword, specifically because there are, on occasion, too many archers and a shield does come in really handy, then.

Currently, that means R to switch from sword + shield to two-handed mode and 2 to switch from two-handed mode to sword + shield.
Would be much more convenient if you could do both with the same key.

Maybe make it a toggleable option so people who don't want it can turn it off?

I like playing without the crosshairs. To be honest, it just gets in my way when I'm swinging a sword.
But occasionally, I like to play archer, too.
It's a seroius hassle to aim without the crosshairs (although I have had some minor success with the longbow).

So what I do is I manually switch to crosshairs when I'm playing ranged, then when I switch to my melee weapon, I either have to live with the crosshairs or (if I have the time for it) go into the menu and disable the crosshairs again.

Serious hassle.
Could you please add a "show crosshairs only when drawing a bow" option?

It's frustrating, you want to trigger a votekick because that one idiot keeps intentionally TKing at spawn and you have no bloody way of opening the darn console because you don't have the right keyboard layout.

Let us choose our own key with which to open the console.

(And yes, I am aware of the workaround, I still think it should be in-game assignable.)

Thanks a lot for creating this game.
It's turned out bloody awesome and you deserve every bit that's coming your way.

Probably THE most fun fighter I've ever played, and even better than it had been in alpha.

It's been a long time, I'll drink to an even longer time together yet to come.
Cheers.

I like the current changes.
Not sure what exactly is to blame for that, but it feels a lot more ... fluid, now.

Start another attack (combo) after your miss and then parry.

I was not aware of that, thank you.
Tested it:

And personally, I feel there's no reason at all that we can't "queue" a block (i.e. start one at the same time where we would start the queued strike in the combo). The superficial delay is just super annoying.

If you have that much time to bring your blade back up into position, you could just as well flip it back with force, resulting in a block, instead.

Been wondering for a while why it takes so darn long to get your sword back into position after a miss ...

I mean, let's say I have a greatsword against somebody with a sledgehammer.
We can both miss each other and he has all the time in the world to take another swing and hit me while I can't do anything but watch.
That can't be how these lockouts are supposed to work ...

Something minor completely unrelated that I am surprised survived so long ...

When you press "quit" after a match, mordhau doesn't care and puts you into the new game anyway.

Next bug:

I alt+tabbed out during the loading screen ... the entire screen turned black and STAYED black.
Tabbing back in didn't resolve anything, neither did tabbing back out.
Pressing the windows key did show me the task bar and the start menu, but the desktop remained completely black. win+L did lock the screen and did show me the lockscreen, but when I logged back in, black again.
Tabbing into mordhau and using Alt+F4 didn't do anything.
Started the taskmanager, screen remained black.
Eventually managed to close mordhau by using the arrow keys when tabbed into the task manager and using the alt-tab previews (which weren't blacked out) to determine whether I had selected the correct process to kill, then killing it with del.

Killing mordhau immediately resolved the blackness, so I can confirm that it's something to do with the game.

Using Win10 (64bit).

Update on the flickering problem: I fixed the issue by going to Nvidia Control Panel-Change Resolution-Then check the "Use Nvidia Color Settings" box and make sure it is set to 32 bit. I hope this helps others with the problem.

That did the trick, thank you.
Problem probably still should be addressed to work with standard colour settings, too. (Because imagine buying a game and the first thing you see is this flickering monstrosity.)
