You can dodge anywhere between wind-up and release with no restrictions currently. I won't comment on any other tweaks to it and you and Cswic are two of my favorite crafty players, but allowing to dodge forward sounds like a really REALLY bad idea.

I've always hated distance judgement in this game it is in my opinion one of the worst parts about Mordhau. Chiv doens't feel this way and Warband doesn't feel this way. I hate lunge.

Playing the game for hundreds of hours helps sure, but I still get those moments where a guy who looks like he is a halberds reach away hits me with his cleaver as I'm backpaddling.

FL isn’t the best way to farm, top scoring duelyards is from what I can tell. Also you get 200 for winning BR (300? Forget). FL punishes you for finishing early I guess this is the way to stop abusing the system.

I don’t disagree FL should reward better performance but that comes with its own set of problems. I do feel overall it should be giving just a little bit more

No we don’t need two stamina bars.
Conserve and calculate your stamina make your inputs connect on your combos or be punished for it.

Yeah you’re right on both counts. I personally would have been fine with an extra layer of tighter shield box then having the extra kick length. We will see where it goes.

I'm on your side here. About the boring opinion, it's an opinion that is shared by the vast majority of this community.

You can go through my posts and see where I have said numerous times the devs should never touch kick, because it would create some of the stupidest meta in any melee game ever, making kick everyone's go-to. Imagine if they would have buffed kick length globally intsead of just shields? I would not play this game. For that, I feel for you.

Kick is not inherently bad design, you're wrong there. Kick was and is fine expect versus shields because the devs made it an offensive mechanic vs shields when it should always be defensive one no matter who you're fighting.

The kick changes were entirely unnecessary, not the core of the issue which is shields being a noob crutch in all of the wrong ways. I would would have granted this point to Bota if he didn't have outbursts like an underdeveloped ape from Mars.

Something tells me the Devs know this but choked under community pressure. Now you have people on reddit praising devs for it and spiting on alpha players for saying kick was fine in the first place, because it was fine in the first place.

Now we have more un-fun and more un-healthy meta surrounding shields and the core issue of hitbox size was only touched up.
Shields are still as boring as ever all the changes did was piss a group of people off.

  • Give always sprint option with a new bind to walk, with both toggle and hold to walk options available.

  • Allow the option for damage numbers when striking an opponent to be static. I would much rather see how much damage I’ve done with each individual input instead of collective multipliers that serve no purpose to me. I’ve always found the current multiplier confusing and unhelpful.

  • Slap numbers on weapons Power/Speed/Reach instead of just a bar for more precise number crunching and comparison.

  • A better way to compare weapon stats side by side so we don’t have to use spreadsheets so often.

  • Emote and voice menus should both be re-arrangeable to put priority emotes and voices where the player wishes. I shouldn’t have to key stroke 3 times to say hello which is one my favorite lines.

  • Building of your lute mute suggestion Lux, it would be great if muting were done through the scoreboard for both lute and voice. What we have now isn’t bad and at least it’s there ( for voice), it’s just a little strange not muting from a panel. This could double as allowing QoL options for allowing us to navigate the scoreboard with mouse cursor to vote kick players etc.

The is a way to do this in console.

Unfortunately I forget the command entirely, Marox put it up here quite awhile ago.

I’ve played a lot of warband myself but it just didn’t feel right in Mordhau. Maybe there is somone on here who remembers the command so you can give it a try
