Even with the new system I just can't get low attacks to register, it mostly just does a side attack instead so attacks from below are the only attacks I can't chamber reliably.

I think it means that if they have a shield but aren't blocking with it then you can still kick it whereas I assume before the shield just acted like it wasn't there so you had to kick their body instead.

So it should make fighting shields easier.

Are there only like 100 people playing the game worldwide? When I go to servers and only show servers with players there's maybe 10 servers with players. Worse than mirage.

Oh boy I can't wait for the only two active servers to be taken over by kickfags who kick anyone who joins who isn't their friend.

What a fun alpha that would be. That totally isn't exactly what happens in chivalry.

Or just make it click and flick so that it only measures direction when you're directly telling it to measure direction allowing perfect accuracy.

I'm fighting against people and chambering all their hits and then they can just feintfag and win. So low skill of them but it's just not possible to beat feintfags reliably when it's possible to feint almost at the end of the animation at no cost and it happens instantly but takes 0.2 seconds to reach you because of latency by which point it's too late you're locked in to your own animation.

Basically they just need to be less annoying and casual because at the moment any idiot can just spam feint and win even if they are completely retarded and don't know how to chamber or anything.

Perhaps it could be like chambering, you have to press the feint button within a tiny window for it to feint otherwise it just fucks up your attack. That would make it something you have to meticulously practise keeping away the standard feintfag and making it so when someone feints you that's actually a really well played move that you can respect instead of just being some guy pressing Q to win.

Bots:

  • AI relies on seeing enemy so they have a habit of standing in corners which can create situations where AI are standing opposite sides of maps forever. Random movement needs to be added so that they walk around and find a new fight.

  • AI can get stuck standing on rocks and can't move off the rock and other AIs can't jump onto the rock so they just stand staring at each other

  • AI stands staring up at enemy above them instead of pathing to stairs. Same for enemies below them.

  • AI can see projectiles thrown at their back and instantly turn to parry

  • AI randomly gets stuck in some places (These two were just standing there permanently until I hit them and they started moving)

Combat issues:

  • I'm having issues with the aiming system when chambering. It doesn't seem sensitive enough. You can tracking the tip of the enemies weapon but because you didn't move the mouse enough in the specific direction while tracking the system doesn't detect the angle and just does a standard attack causing you to fail to chamber. Some way to increase sensitivity of angle detection would be nice. Attacks coming from below are particularly bad because it never seems to detect your response.

  • The bots have issues with stabbing, when they go for a stab towards your left it is possible to completely sidestep them the majority of the time without needing to parry or chamber.

  • When you do sidestep it is possible for them to bring the weapon round into your back at the end of the attack and do full damage despite it being a stab attack because the weapon happened to collide. This is particularly bad with spears where the whole stick counts as the head of the weapon so any bit touching you hurts.

The AI won't leave the spawn on one side.

I assume this is because their pathing tells them to avoid falling and this side of the spawn is too high so they just stand there watching you. If you jump at them they move slightly closer but then the anti falling bit takes over and moves them away from the edge.

Wouldn't be fair on the US lot to release it at 4-5AM for them. Gotta keep it fair for everyone. Plus it's 6PM GMT, not 7, so maybe you have an hour longer than you thought.

Phew I thought they were going to make us wait another week after giving it to all their friends.

It's like christmas eve, will the game be as good as we all have been dreaming or will we open the present and find a huge wooden crate full of a range of itchy socks that are either too small or too big that completely crushes our dreams forever.
