A rapier is usually 1.2-1.4 m long, usually as long as or even longer than a longsword, however the Rapier in game is even shorter than a Bastard Sword, which is obviously too short.

By comparing the size of the human body and the size of other stuffs.

I think there is a data in the game engine to define the length of every model though

Thank you for your reply and glad to see you'll touch up on some proportions. As you said, the characters in Mordhau are giants, I think it would be visually more comfortable to see the weapons fit in the size of the 2m giants :) . Maybe you could put the weapon and a standing character together to see if the proportions is right?

I suggest you to take a look of the following proportion:
-the length of: short sword, arming sword, bastard sword, zweihander, billhook maybe a bit too short
-the size of the head of poleaxe maybe a bit too small
-the thickness of the blades of claymores(greatsword reskin) may be a bit too thick
-the width of the bastard sword maybe a bit too wide (but maybe it is intended to simulate early medieval "boradsword"? idk)

*please notice that when I talkiing about "weapon size" or "weapon length" in this topic, it only means how the weapons visually look like, I'm not talking about "tracer length" or anything on the stats/balance side.

Is it only me or someone else also notice that some of the weapons, especially swords(from short to zweihander) and the billhook, looks a bit too small in the game? In my honest opinion, judging from the the proportion of the length of the weapon and the height of the character, some of the weapons do looks a little bit too small, let me take these two pictures as examples:

I assume that this issue is due to Mordhau set the character into 200cm(6'6.7402") tall, which is much taller than the average height of medieval/renaissance people, but didn't enlarge the weapons accordingly, thus make the weapons look weirdly a bit too small.

Hope this situation can be change and the weapons can be in their correct size.

I also use 3rd person for combat, it is aesthetically better(allows me to see my character) and feels more comfortable.

-I suggest to add a "general view" option in the Armoury, which allow the player to see the character wearing the armour and holding the weapon.

-It is quite weird that the top-right panel shows text like "A longsword B", as longsword is not a verb.

Art/Animation
-please change the anim of 2h polearms when stabbing from the right side, it is strange to do a single-handed stab with such a heavy weapon.

I agree that the situation of lack of transparency and communication is bad, however, there is no reason to hate just because of some people play the pre-alpha before us, they are testing for us to allow us get the alpha quicker. Besides, the pre-alpha testing does not break the promise of the Devs, we the Alpha backers still play earlier then who backed for Beta or Release.
