I am super okay with female characters as long as they are weaker, shorter and slower.

then that's the point for integrate them in?
everybody will pick the stronger gender because of it and that's not fun at all.
It is a game that doesn't take itself too srs, like i mentioned above your comment.

i don't see to discuss this any longer, the devs allready put unrealistic creatues in this game, why not woman with same stats like men? i don't get it.

King 48 59

just to point out about realism.

i horde we have giants and tomato looking creatures. i that case anything in this theme could be added from the devs, if you like it or not.

So Orcs wouldn't be out of question but alien, cars, planes, super heros would break the theme for the devs. (i believe)

Woman exsist and they are more present unlike our tomato, so yea add them.

the most weapons with reach have allready a alt. grip to prevent it, right?

i dunno. i don't see a issue here.

I threw the "realistic" arguments out the window long time ago.
the game itself isn't a sim anyway and what we have left is only the balance of the game.

so, a headshot from a longbow does 50hp damage on a lvl3 right?
i would carefully say it isn't enough, you rarely hit the head and they can parry the projectile if they spot you.

oneshot would be crazy unbalanced.
i would say 55hp or even 60hp would be better for a rare headshot that should be critical damage to head anyways.

34hp on the lvl3 chest are weak.
40hp would be nice to see BUT aim not a expert.

the battle axe gets mentioned quite alot now, what was the reach on it again?
seems it has the right balance for a very strong 2H.

i have no problems with dodge overall, but combo it with the battle axe it gets frustrating to play against

Bastard Sword = M4A1
Messer = AK47
AWP = Maul

It was only on community servers, aye?
if he used it on the offical ones, a ban would be needed.

But it didn't happend "allegedly" so
i see this like the TF2 community servers, there you pay for it and plug your own costum edits in there, no rule is technically broken cuz it didn't use third party software in the background to achieve this advantage.
but it still a very grey area i get that.

that dude is still a rat to my eye and i heavily dislike cheaters, but this problem is more on the devs end. there will be alot of players who see this topic and try to replicate.

so devs, please fix

  • Has 3 Uses

  • The deploy time is the same like the bandage, but the use is half the time.

  • It Heals 100HP out of combat (With HP regen.)

  • It Heal 25HP in combat (No HP regen.) and reduce the BASE Stamina by 10 for 3 seconds.
Multiple uses stacks the HP gain, stamina loss and adds 2 seconds each use.
    ( 3 Uses = 75HP gain, 30 stamina loss for 7 seconds )

  • Can be thrown once (Rock damage) with the [R] key.

  • It will shatter if getting hit by a enemy while deployed
    (can't be picket up again)

  • The resupply will refill the flask or get a new one if shatterd.

  • Can be shared [M2] button.

  • It's paintable

  • Has a legendary skin called "Oscars flask" (totally not dark souls related)

Here is my badly paint.net version how it could look like https://i.redd.it/abbzbny0lzy21.png

lol... just add a speed penalty determined by how far over 16 points your loadout would be

"I like this one"

The typical DS fatroll "fatdouge" and slower movement.
I would like to see this feature in action. This still needs some info above a weapon you pick up with the warning "Overweight" or "Heavy weapon"

It should still allow you to drop your own weapons to pick up the heavy one and use it normaly, if the points don't go over 16
Still, this would be a huge coding thing and that will take a while. this game isn't even a week out..

Sooo, we have a buckler now, what does it do exactly?

Project Slasher was what Mordhau was called on the Unity engine, and it was pretty much just a prototype. Development of that project was started by Marox - Elwebarro and the others joined shortly after. They are/were never TBS employees and TBS never worked on Slasher, let alone started it.

The only thing TBS has to do with Slasher is that TBS's decisions alienated some of their players to the point they started to make their own, better game.

They ran a similar Kickstarter? What? What does he mean by this. How much can Kickstarter projects differ from one another especially if they are for games in the same genre. Also, even if the campaign was 100% identical, it doesn't say anything about the product it is promoting.

This person seems horribly misinformed.

EDIT: I don't think Reithur's layoff is a matter of public record. If so, it's pointless to fill in the blanks with hypotheses and draw conclusions form that.

huge thanks! i allmost thought I was out of the loop.
he is truly the biggest white knight on the mirage steam forums.

Yep, as we've said before, Chivalry 2 is definitely in our future.

Bankruptcy is the only thing in your future.

but what about the project slasher. was it first a tb project?

..and it seems he knows more of this game as we all know it. basicly i don't have any knowledge about the 'project slasher' and i want to know if he is right on his claims.

His comment:

"chiv 1 was released feature-complete according to its kickstarter, then received numerous, numerous balance changes, bug fixes, content additions, and visual upgrades. the only thing they never fixed was reverse overhead, because that would require a complete rework of the code i.e. a completely new game. chiv 1 is a finished game. it's been out for a long time. it has one unfixable bug that ensures nobody will play it long-term, and the person responsible for it doesn't work there anymore.

maybe you are thinking of a different game? say, perhaps, Project Slasher, which was originally a Torn Banner Studios project...? kinda strange that it's called mordhau now, and is basically promising an endless series of gimmicks that will be literally impossible to balance, and ran a Kickstarter campaign almost identical to Chiv's original kickstarter (as if it were the same person doing it!), and is being headed up by one of the 10 founding members of TBS? I understand people split for creative differences, but they don't usually take half-complete projects with them and then try to reboot the company with themselves in charge.

furthermore, what the hell? Reithur left because of ubiquitous trolling, but this is justified because of Rosy's post, which is 90% about Reithur leaving and 10% about not polishing games yet releasing objectively high-quality ones? what kind of double standard is that?"

The discussion thread:

I'm honestly clueless about the project slasher, maybe lighten me up a bit.
and no hate in this guy. he allready paid for a dead game.

Btw. if you want a sensible chuckle,
check the steam discussions out.
they still didn't managed to get the
steam refund system right and it shows in the posts.

aww TB, never change.
