I think the learning curve and skill-/experiance-gap for newer players is the biggest issue currently for Mordhau.

This

is my attempt to help newer players to close this gap as best as possible.
I know that I am late to the party with beginner guides, but I want to provide a comprehensive guide - not only the juicy parts, but I want to give beginners a good foundation as well at hand.
So this is a series of videos about specific topics. This particular part is about the very first things I think beginners should know and learn. Swing manipulation, chambering, basic combat rules of thumb, loadouts and perks.
I know I am not the most energetic speaker and this video is a bit heavy on the "ehm" side, but I do not have the setup and time to properly remove it. The information is solid though, so stick through it, if you are new and want to improve and reduce your time on the learning curve.

havent played a single ranked duel yet, but just from watching i suggest to go from BO9 to BO5...
BO9 already feels tedious by just looking at it.
BO5 should be enough to "iron out" the flukes and make it skillbased.

i think a few numbers got scrambled.
OR just the correct numbers were not put into the advanced weapon tab ingame.
Is the data on the advanced tab ingame actually the correct value or is that just "display"?

No release reduction:
Dagger strike
Short Sword strike
Quarterstaff alt-strike

Incorrect release reduction:
Shortspear strike: 50 instead of 25
Shortspear stab: 50 instead of 25
Spear strike: 50 instead of 25

ingame sens is 0.5ish as well. the ratio for the y-axis is not the same as for the x-axis, so i have it on different values.
dpi is 1000.

though that does not mean anything really. your possible turnrate gets capped during your swing (windup and release).

so your sensitivity is really just about what is comfy for you, when you do not swing your weapon.

yup, true. and i tested the feint+parry. Klean seemed to love it.
for me it just goes against the hectic nature of mordhau combat. at least i accidently parry with it regularly. hence i suggest against it, but leave it to the viewer discretion. =)

This will be a series of videos about specific topics. This first one is about the input/control setup. Timing and reaction times are very crucial at Mordhau, so I dedicated a quite longer video on it. The following topics will most probably be a lot shorter and better "digestable".

i would enjoy a setting option to put the crosshair on "appear only, when you have a ranged weapon equipped".

aaaand that is it for this suggestion.

Greetings,

Mordhau had a successful lunch saleswise. The combat system is awesome, but there are also concerns about this game. I want to throw in my 2 cents about the popular topics.
I try to tackle the concerns and give my point of view about the current state of the game.
There is info for people who consider buying this game and about what i think will come next for this game.
