Otherwise I’ve always dealt w good servers. My ping, depending on the server is always somewhere between 30-80. But whatever part of that spectrum it is it remains steady. And despite what ppl say I don’t notice any difference in my experience unless my ping is 100+ but I don’t join servers that far away.

Same boat, only issues I got is that I had high packet loss for about 5 days straight for some reason?
but it went away, only problems I roll into is Phantom Swings and the occasional teleport.

Adding on to this, what if there was a classed based system? Not like Chiv tho but actually one system to turn this game into a more team based game that its very so lacking, personally I dont believe team based is double teaming.

Now this is all just "what if" Highly doubt anything like this would ever get close to seeing the light of day.

But basically theres this class system where you can select a perk that gives you a set of weapons and armor will be limited but only to what class you're playing but it wont be just a set number like 2 / 2 / 2 but more like if its a lighter build you could have anything but 3 or if its a tanky class, they'd have to me limited to 3 or 2 armor, level 1 armor would make them too fast.

Theres alot that can go into this and honestly I could very well make a topic to discuss this because I would really like to see what you all come up with! :)

This optimization work is time consuming, but it can't really be 'sped up' by throwing the whole art team at the problem; it just takes time.

As for the SDK and Invasion, these are long term goals we want to start working on ASAP. We're focusing on the short-term stuff (maps and ranked, etc.) because we realize there is a lack of content currently, and we want to fix that before starting work on the big things that will take up the bulk of our manpower. Mod tools will be awesome as they let the community make the content they want, but if it takes us a few months or more to get an SDK working it doesn't make sense to drop everything else and work on that, while the base game is sorely lacking in content. Invasion is something that is currently in the 'on-paper' design phase, and while it will be a big task to make, it shouldn't take forever, as we're most likely using existing maps for it.

As much as I want to hate you I can see that you're given a limited amount of information

Agreed, like frontline is THE gamemode that shows up on match making and what new players are going to do first usually.

The games combat is really good but theres alot of broken weapon mechanics that just straight up get abused in frontline. Like ive never touched the bardiche literally ever, or any polearm because they're all fucking amazing, so amazing i was able to get 45-4 just from swings and drags. Its literal bullshit,

Not to mention garbage like Messer, Waraxe/Battle Axe, Maul and Halberd are all like THE frontline meta, spears cool but not really much more than stabbing you can do :/

Yeah, I dunno about you. But being a pc gamer. I’ve never used a matchmaking function in ANY pc multiplayer game when there is a server list available.

I mean yeah me too, like ive played my fair share of source games which 80% never have match making.

But it sucks that duels are like almost completely hidden from the normal player.
