I edited my post right as you replied.

Don't know anything about sling. I hope it's in but I also hope it isn't as stupid accurate as it was in chiv.

If they do a sling the infinite ammo thing needs to go. It's fun to troll with, but Mordhau is going for a more realistic vibe. Sling archers should have to pick up stones and hold a finite amount. Or at least have a finite amount until reaching a reload location.

Pommels.

That's honestly quite disappointing. I mean, it's a good thing to have, but I was expecting something in the actual game.

You're going to get everything. Because modders do everything. Hence you get everything.

The more money they get the faster it will be. I think that it will be done by winter if they get more than 400k.

Who cares about casual siege game mode, they need to add iron sights and rocket spawns in the middle to keep the plebs funding our autistic spin duels.

Ah I see. I edited it because it was not correct.

Simply put: the rest of Europe didn't want to put up with heavy bows to make dents into plate armor. The end.

That's not exactly the case. Crossbows reached massive draw weights that only compensated their short power stroke (the lenght of the full drawn bow). Due this short power stroke a crossbow of 350 lb would be the equivalent of a 60 lb longbow or something (Emerald have mercy if im mistaken pls). Only the very extreme draw weights of about 1300 lb would be equivalent to something crazy as a 150 lb longbow. Also heavy crossbows weren't as effective against plate armor as people often think, only the highest draw weights at very short range could hurt a man in plate armor (being hit on a plate, a bolt through the visor or a gap would be obviously devastating) and even then it would probably not penetrate the armor that much and only inflict damage by the blunt force being transmited.

I wrote that the brits were using ridiculously heavy bows for the same purpose the rest of Europe used their crossbows. Crossbows were inefficient, but much easier to draw than bows.

But seriously:

What you see is probably from an English archer. Why? Because them crazy brits mainly used longbows with draw weights up to 160 pounds, in order to have an effect on plate armored opponents, when the rest of Europe already was using crossbows for that purpose.

In the East, draw weights for bows were more relaxed, with them reaching up to 100 pounds. Which is logical, if you take into account that they often employed mounted archers and the enemies weren't as heavily armored.
