I keep one for throwing. Sometimes I throw my primary and then go to my secondary. Its useful for when people swing and miss, but are too far for you to reach otherwise. Also useful to take out people running away.

But as long as the objectives are entertaining enough to play, then being balanced isn't too important. We'd probably want the defenders to be favoured most of the time, with each objective getting less likely to be completed. e.g. if 20% of the time the attackers fail the 1st objective of Camp, 40% of the time they fail the second, 60% they fail the third and 80% they fail the fourth. That could be better than 50% of the time succeeding all objectives as it'll feel like more of an achievement to get far.

Figuring out this time is a good step. If its too high, they can make it easier of course. If its too low, make it harder.

If you are the Warden on Grad map, and you fall down the ladder in one of the towers, you are given only 5 seconds to get back into the castle zone before you are auto killed. It is impossible to get back up in time, which means game over.

They should also remove the 5 sec death penalty in the Wardens own castle. I died because I went inside a room in the castle as the Warden. And died another time because i fell down the ladder, but the 5 seconds wont let me get back up.

I think I just saw this happen a few minutes ago. The warden fell down then the match ended. Thought someone killed him but didn't see anyone. Now I get it.

If autobalance is fast to respond to any balance issues, and actually works, I would be down for it. As for the special mercenaries idea, I think the best way to balance the Invasion maps is to adjust the amount of time the attackers get to capture each objective. Instead of just guessing, why not use statistics gathered over a few weeks to find the average time.

Why not both? Bind toggle to pressing mouse-wheel like me.

I use first in combat, but switch to third to help me hide behind corners and peak around. Very OP for stealth strats.

If this game has shitty developers who were going to abandon it the way it is, yes it is fucked. However, this is far from the case. The developers are continuing to work on major updates even this long after its initial release, and it is obvious they don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

I find the new Invasion mode to be fun, but also not very balanced. However, there is an easy way to balance it. The key is to make the amount of time the attackers get to be just right. An easy way to figure this out, is to run the maps for a few weeks and gather data from full servers. The average amount of time it takes for attackers to overtake each objective should be the amount of time it gives. You could even set it up so that it continues to use this calculation calculate changes to this in the future. Boom.

Trolls are adaptive and will:

  • Change words to be spelt differently using symbols or other means to evade the filter.

  • Use other words that sound similar.

  • Be toxic/racist/homophobic/antisemitic/whatever without even having to use the blocked words.

If the developers try to expand the filter so that it detects these kinds of things, there is a huge possibility that the filter will detect false positives and make it harder for well meaning people to chat. Getting official staff members who watch for these people all the time is an unfeasible solution. Furthermore, an optional word filter might help for people who are tired of seeing those nasty words, but in the end it will not solve the problem of people being toxic. The only solution is to fix the vote kick system and to allow the community to moderate their own games. There are many ways to prevent vote kick abuse, and to make this system even better.

This is the reason I mostly play on private servers that I know are well moderated. Well meaning moderators are often better at keeping a server clean than a vote system, especially for deathmatch duel servers. Also, if a server has a bad staff team, you can always go to a different one that is better.

There are many regiments of organized players trying to play as Legionaries. Would be cool to have authentic Roman equipment added to the game. Need things like a gladius, a pilum, and a scotum. Maybe even segmented plate and helmets in the roman style. Stuff like this would help these groups a ton.

Bumping because this is still broken and haven't gotten any response. You can ride horses into the rock, making it easy to pelt arrows at people outside without them being able to fight back.
