At the very least 1 copy.

Already said that.
Or are you saying you bought one aswell?
That would set the count to 2.

It's not in early access?
The only bug I know of was in the beginning when you would get no gold and XP, devs gave some gold to everyone.
They could do the same again if it affects a majority of players.

If you kill 10 teammates with 1 catapult shot, you probably should be punished...

Ok that is just stupid. Do you not understand the mechanics and poor visibility when using the cat? Even with that 1 bad shot, I still out scored everyone that round and we did win. An accidental or poor shot on any siege weapon is completely different than intentional team killing or trolling. A siege weapon like the catapult no matter how skilled one is with it, is still a risk using it. I cannot tell you how many times in Chiv where nub players had no idea of catapult strats, knowing where the cat shots were going, why and where to avoid them. Thus these players would go where they shouldnt, get killed then get all pissy because they got TKed UNINTENTIONAL. This happens in this game as well where players do not understand the map, objectives, and rarely consider cat tactics and locations. In addition when working the cat and you are making adjustments and about to fire and some pissy or trolling teammate hits you while you are adjusting and firing can also cause team kills. So again you get unintentional TKs and you want to ban players or punish them? Yeah not a great idea.

You were blindly shooting your dumb rocks into a crowd, that's the same as me running around spawn and blindly swinging my weapon around. I made it a habit to kick every catapult user I see (not votekick, regular kick).

Solutions on teamkilling/damage that retain the threat of team damage while still punishing a problem player can be found in a few other games.
Narrowing it down to two commonly known games, these examples can be the framework for a simple but effective TK punishment system:

In Planetside, a player who causes team damage accumulates Grief points. A small amount of of grief does nothing, an assumed mistaken hit on someone who got in your line of fire. However, upon reaching certain thresholds of Grief, the player is punished in a number of ways from being unable to drive vehicles, to having their weapon damage reduced and eventually being rendered unable to do anything except some support stuff like using the medic tools. The Grief gradually depletes over time, doing so at a faster rate the lower it is, a means of forgiving those accidental nicks while making sure the deliberate team harm and any major screwups are punished with a long timeout.
Call of Duty has less of a punishment system and more of a Friendly Fire alternative for PC servers. COD games have "Reflect" and "Shared" damage in which any team damage bounces back to the would-be TKer or is split between them (whether equally or some uneven split).

Now, unlike the persistent Planetside, a long term Grief value would likely be impossible. Instead it should be instanced to each match, with variables suitable for the 20 minute time frames of each match and the not-uncommon accidental hits due to the point blank nature of the game. The basic gestalt, a player who accrues a certain amount of Team Damage (since the game tracks that and not only teamkills) in a single match is met with a series of punishments:

  • Grief accumulates with Team Damage. A Kill does not accrue extra Grief, only the damage dealt.
  • Grief resets on the next map.

1 to 249 Team Damage:

  • No punishment is yet rendered
  • Grief degrades at a rate of one point every second.

250 to 399 Team Damage:

  • Player is unable to issue Vote Kicks.
  • Grief degrades at a rate of one point every two seconds.
  • Grief degradation is stalled for six seconds with any team damage.

400 Team Damage: Four kills worth of friendly fire in short enough time to counter any degredation.

  • Player's future team damage output is changed to Shared, a 50/50 split between TKer and victim, ensuring mutual destruction.
  • Player is denied use of Firebombs (is changed to a Medic Bag on spawn) and can not operate any Ballista/Cannon/Catapult vehicles.
  • Grief no longer degrades automatically over time.
  • Grief can be reduced by having allies heal using the TKer's Medic Bags. 25 off for each Heal.

500 Team Damage: Still somehow attacking friendlies enough to get two more kills worth (due to Shared halving the output).

  • Player is highlighted to allies as a Team Killer.
  • TKer's team damage output becomes fully Reflected. Allied victims suffer no damage; the TKer takes it all.
  • TKer is denied use of Toolbox, Pavise, and Smoke Bombs (changed to a Medic Bag on spawn), they can not ride Horses.
  • TKer's allies can attack him as they please with no penalty if he attempts to do something such as body block them.
  • Medic Bags no longer reduce Grief, the player is locked into this state until the next map.

Something like that could cover the teamkilling by culling friendly fire, as well as preventing any deliberate TKer from also using the VoteKick against others. Vote Kicking on its own would need some other form of limitation to prevent raw abuse of that in case the person joins and just starts Kicks on random people, such as "No player can issue a Vote Kick for the first three minutes of joining the server". Just long enough to make the troublemakers to get tired of waiting and resort to friendly fire, also giving people enough time to see what's actually going on in the server before the votes come out.

The problem with your system is that it is very easy to get a 500 team damage with a poorly timed catapult shot. I am pretty damn accurate with a cat but I have had a bad shot lobbed over some buildings because I had no accurate view and had over 1000 points in team damage in one shot. It was unbelievable that the majority of the team managed to press a capture point when I shot ahead of it. It literally killed them all.

Then you should be punished for it.

Thank you for your hard work, I can play now, although the first server will still be disconnected.
But it is enough.

That's due to the fact you have the game on an HDD.
It's poorly optimized, so it can't cope very well with HDD, you'll need an SSD.
By right clicking on the game in your Steam library and select properties, under Local Files you can move it to an SSD.
Fixed it for me, although that's not really a suitable solution.

While we're at it can we disable collision for stupid small rocks and logs like on Camp so I don't die because I can't lunge forward to target switch.

Yeah, it's especially annoying for me on Crossroads. I get "stuck" on so many little things on the ground.
Doesn't feel very polished.

On the second one I think I got stuck because the barrel I was hitting changed / broke.
Similar thing happens when I repair a wall, if I repair it so that it is whole again (no broken bits, holes) I often get clipped to the other side of the wall, right in the hands of the enemies...

During a match on Taiga I encountered 2 spots where I got stuck.
Don't know if the first one is intended, it shouldn't be as that is a common spot where you jump off the ladder.
The guy that fell before me maybe had a chance to get out by grabbing the ladder but I was completely stuck.
Also I found 2 small texture bugs.
Video

On the first one I couldn't jump or do anything. On the second one I somehow got unstuck.

We're working on our moderation efforts, as well as a chat filter system.

Just add a mute option and and optional filter and that's it, make people resposible of themselves, the developer has other more important work to do like improving the game, adding content etc, we don't really want you wasting your time attending special snowflake reports just because someone used a "bad word" that they didn't like.

If you want to punish someone punish cheaters or griefers, I can take any insult or word thron at me no problem but that isn't ruining the game, cheaters and griefers, those are the ones that ruin the game.

I agree. Moderating chats is just wasted effort.
Slap an optional filter on it and call it a day, not much more you can and should do.

Was it referring to this exact issue?
Can you post a source?

Nevermind, I just found the post.
Unforunately, the issue he is refering to is with the Steam inventory.

If you have Nvidia GeForce Experience, you can activate Shadow Play and record the last X minutes, so you don't have to always record whole games.
Most servers are really laggy, though. For me (Europe) it's not as bad as you described, but ping is usually pretty high and there are many weird moments, weapons just passing through me / enemies without registering a hit.
I really hope this will get fixed soon.

I'm guessing you're on a HDD. This happened to me until I moved the files to my ssd. I'm guessing the assets take too long to load on the first try so the initial load timeout kicks in.

That would be really bad. It's not like HDD is ancient technology of the 1950s.

It's not that bad. The only thing you could maybe consider bad, is the default initial timeout, but that is configurable by the server admin.
The GPU in the minimum system requirements is 7 years old, so in that sense a HDD is ancient. SSDs are the norm for running games these days, so you can't complain about the behaviour if you're not using one. The generation of drives(nvme) after SSDs is already becoming more popular, so I think it's time you upgrade.

I already have a 500 GB SSD for Windows and other programs, not about to move my 1.5 TB Steam folder and spend 200€
I build my PC 4 years ago, and have upgraded some parts since (GPU and SSD). At that time, HDD was the standard and SSD was only used in smaller sizes, like 256GB. So about the 7 year old requirements, HDD would be the norm.

You can create multiple steam folders and just move a single game.

I know. Maybe I'll try that. I still think the game should be able to handle HDD.
Especially given the minimum requirements.

Whenever I start the game, select Matchmaking for Frontline and find a server, I always get a timeout.
It always happens on the screen where I can choose my team. It also always says 0/32 players on both teams before loosing connection.
Sometimes it just says something along the lines of a timeout, other times it says failed to get steam authentification ticket...
It always happens on the first server I connect since starting the game, after that it usually works normally.
