I think that's tooooo much but it's works for me. I don't have any issue with this high numbers because I don't have any other servers than Mordhau for the moment.

When I multihomed a server I can't see it in the server browser
Have you any idea about that ? (But I think it's a UE4 issue but ...)

I finally solve that with a higher bandwith in the server config.
Just tweak network options.

Bottleneck an entire dedicated server (Xeon 1620 with 250 Mbps up/down) with 64 + 16 Mordhau slots ... hmmm ... not possible
No prob on official servers so there is another issue.

I didn't have this prob on other UE4 games.

No I have no prob untill ~25 players.
35-50 with 16 players and about 45-90 with 32 players.
I never had that kind of issue while I already had some UE4 server (like Ark, etc...)

Latency is one of the main issue about online games.

Several games use mechanics to reduce it like interp ratio, etc...
Keep in mind you can t have a wonderful game and a perfect netcode.
That always can be improve ... But that s not an essential point in medieval games (but it must works I m agree with that)

Bastard Sword is a good alternative to messer (to have one more point to use in a bandage for example).

Falchion is a really close sword.
Bastard Sword can cause huge damages thanks to its range in Frontline.

So that s two weapons for different usage.

3Gb (GPU) is pretty light for UE4.
UE4 engine is really demanding (GPU and CPU).
Have you ever tried to reduce effects, foliage, shadows or post process ?

Frontline parties cause huge load (lots of players). Did you reduce other player textures ?

Yeah I'm agree with you about that.

The main problem => Stabs have the same stamina cost than strike attack but do more damages (against armor) and are quicker.
There is a mechanic to double the stamina cost when you spam any attack.
That's great but I think that would be more than X2 for stabbing ...
That kind of change won't affect any skilled player.

But if you can't combo ... players will combo stab with other strikes.
That can be improve general gameplay of frontline parties (nobody spam stabs in duels).
But that's not the main point here.

Hello,

There are too much throwable weapons in this game.
That's really fun to throw any axe, knife, spear, and so on ... but now that's too much cause of javelin.
We can't do the roman turtle in Mordhau ...
That's horrible in frontline mode cause of too much throwable thing.
knife, axe, ballista, engineer's ballista, short spear, javelin, fire bomb, maul, bows and crossbow, swords, etc...
Can I one day throw my Pavise shield ?

Why javelin only cost three points ? Are you serious ?
This is a second weapon ... ok ... but it's too easy to kill with it.
Why not just having one instead of two ?
Why not putting some javelin on the map ? But not in the gear selection.

Hello,

According to me Dagger (with lastest update) is just OVER speed.

Stab are normally an alternative attack, not a main attack. You can full stab everyone with right weapon (ie: rapier, short sword, dagger, spear)
Best combo is dagger and stabbing ... just stab stab stab stab and kill anyone ...

Solutions:

  • disable combo for stabbing
  • increase stamina cost

This game need to keep some realistic things.

Anyone have a solution to this issue ?
When I use an other IP for my servers (using multihome) I can see it in the server browser.

That s not the first time I have this issue with UDK4 games.
