Yesterday i upgraded from a gtx 1060 to a gtx 1660 ti, and i also bought a second monitor.

On my gtx 1060 with 1 monitor i had no lag at all, but with 1660 ti and 2 monitors im getting occasional noticable drops in fps. Not just in Mordhau but in other games as well im getting a bit lag. I have not changed any settings.

Now this is not only Mordhau related but a more general hardware question, has anyone experienced the same?
On the second monitor im only running chrome with the forum up.
I expected the extra monitor to have some small impact, but considering the gpu is quite better than my previous one it seems strange it should have this big impact.

Does a second monitor really lower fps that much or could something else be wrong?

this is a common issue even for much more beefy gpu's.... if its unplayable, just unplug it...
i can run mordhau on 240fps most of the times, i do lose frames when its getting crowded, if i unplug my second monitor i won't drop from 240 doesn't matter what, GTX 1080 here..

Alright, thanks, i didnt think it would be that taxing on the gpu. After lowering some settings i luckily seems to have gotten it stable at 90-110 fps now without the sudden drops. As for unplugging the monitor, do you actually have to unplug? Isnt turning it off enough or does the gpu somehow still take it into account?

Guess ill go for a highier tier card next time.. btw, does the refresh rate on the second monitor have any impact at all on the fps on main monitor?

my main monitor is 240hz, and i try to run all games on 240 by default.
and no just turning the monitor off doesn't do anything, the gpu still sends whatever there is, aka extended desktop if you move your mouse to the turned off monitor it will still go there and you will be able to click on shit just wont see it.

yes there is impact on everything, the monitor will try to use whatever hz it has, 144, 165, 200, etc, you can lower the hz in the NVIDIA driver settings, idk about amd

Actually i found out you can disable the second monitor using the NVIDIA control panel on the 'set up multiple displays' setting by just unchecking it there, which appears to basically do the same as unplugging it :). What hz do you run on ur second monitor?

all my other 3 monitors are 60hz lol

so this is weird af, had the server running for few days, people can join it, but not everyone, my 2 friends don't seem to be able to join, not even with console open command.
checking ports, all the ports seem to be closed but, other people can find my server in the server browser and join.
so everything seems to work fine but at the same time not fine, WHAT THE FUCK!?!

Edit: quick test: https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/mordhau/3990923
it does show as online on that site....

can he join any others and can he join matchmaking?

he can join other servers he has listed, and also matchmaking, i did notice his server list doesn't see servers i see, btw he lives like 5 mins away from me so it shouldn't be any different

edit: 2 friends with same issue, they can't join through ip or anything, while i do have people playing on my server normally

well my issue is resolved, now a new problem, my friend can't join this server while others can, tried open with ip, and he can't find it on the server list..

i run the server on the same pc that runs the game, if i didn't i would need to buy the fucking game again just for the stupid fucking server files.....
works perfectly honestly. no issues, no lags. other players get nice pings also

So what setup instructions did you follow?

check your ports forwarding, make sure 27015 is udp only, all others can be tcp or both, except the 27015, i had it on both and it didn't let anyone join but did show on server list, now changed to only udp people can find my server and join.

Are you sure their filter options are right? Set a ping of 500 and uncheck everything just to be sure. If it shows in the server browser I imagine it's working fine.

it was an issue with settings the 27015 port wrong, works perfectly now.
is there any way to set horde mode with damagefactor=2/3
and when the map changes to any ffa it will go back to normal 1?

There is enemy and team damage factor options in the BaseGame.ini but I'm not sure how they affect Horde. You can change the map rotation options and default server map option to only have horde maps.
I really hope you're trying to make horde harder cause I've heard its quite easy.

I have a signature

i have the map rotations set including ffa maps for duels, yes i want horde to be 2x if not even 3x more damage, but when we change to play on ffa the damage factor stays which makes us use the training sword to not die in 1 shot.
didn't find anywhere maybe commands that change to a different config when the map changes from horde to ffa and vice versa...
