Maps have to be designed with Invasion in mind, otherwise it's just Frontline with one side attacking and the other defending. Maybe it's gonna be better in the new maps, when they release them in 2050.

You won't get much love writing walls of text here unless it's praising the game. The whole building system is retarded and should be removed, I agree; there's nothing more ridiculous than instantly building a wall to stop a horse, among other issues, but the game is mess, devs will never make big changes to the gameplay and the community is basically 4chan so don't expect serious discussions.

Who would spend 15 dollars a month to play an outdated game in it's most outdated version possible? WoW's time is gone and it will never be popular again, there's nothing to worry about. Long live level 20 PvP.

Very impressive, congratulations to everyone involved. You did this all for free while Mordhau's team couldn't even make simple Deathmatch/Skirmish/TDM maps after 3 months sitting on millions of dollars. Devs, please accept my deepest fuck you for taking our money and running away.

Mordhau is dying so let's kill the little diversity in playstyles the game has, that will attract more people!

Lack of content and ranked modes despite selling over a million copies, terrible main game mode, becoming infamous for it's toxicity, those are all secondary issues.

I assume you haven't played Crossroads yet.

Impying that the game is dying because of archers/horses and not because of lack of content, incompetent moderation leading to high toxicity and an inherently exploitable melee gameplay that pushes casuals away. Seems about right.

What you're dealing with are probably drags/accels, it takes time to master how to read those but I can see how this is frustrating for new players. Mordhau is extremely unfriendly to newbies and the lack of any form of matchmaking, balance or even a simple low-level server makes everything much worse.

Couldn't it be just lag though? People used to complain that my Brandistock+feint combo in Chivalry was impossible to read when I was playing in other regions (around 180ms). I know that people with high ping teleport in Mordhau, so maybe their attacks become faster too.

Why are people vote kicking for pointless stuff like that? And worse, why do people just blindly vote yes?

If I kick someone who did nothing wrong, it won't affect me. If I let that person stay, maybe the guy who started the vote was right and he'll disturb my game. That's the reasoning most people do, so the obvious solution is to implement a recent team damage counter in the votekick infobox like Chivalry did. I've rarely seen votekick being misused in Chivalry, because you'd know when the person was really tking.

Displaying more information such as average score gained in the past few minutes would be even better to help people decide, since griefers and people who are just fooling around will have a much lower average score than usual.

If it was up to me I'd also make it a requirement that at least 3 different people vote the same person before the vote is displayed for everyone else (depending on server population of course), and probably raise the minimum votes necessary to something like 60%.

Why not turquoise vs baby blue?

Awesome, thank you PC Gamer, maybe now that their reputation is at risk they'll do something about it.

I've been using many helmets with nasal guards such as the Viking Helmet, Flat Top and Norman Casque and they're all great, but the moment I put my newly acquired Spangenhelm on my nose instantly broke. Outrageous, I demand that the blacksmith responsible for this pays for my nose surgery.

Auto-kick is just plain stupid and censoring words never work, this game needs moderation. Give moderator powers to some trusted people from the community, implement a report system as all games do, revoke someone's ability to submit reports for at least an entire month if the report is unjustified and, finally, allow people to appeal a bann (to be judged by someone who actually works in Triternion) at the risk of having his bann extended for one week if it fails. Problem solved.

They've reached the mod tools goal during Kickstarter, as well as competitive matchmaking, but decided to release those later for some reason. It's coming, we just don't know when. Let's just hope the game survives until then.

I have this issue since release. Your loadouts take a while to load for the first time after launching the game, and so does every different map. If I just join a match right away it'll take a long time and likely result in connection loss. So what I do is open my loadouts first, load a local match on any map, and then join a server. Always works for me.

I just had an even greater idea, what if instead of using swords we make an FPS with modern weapons?

Seriously though, we should start a thread for mod requests. It would be fun to see a mod where a group of Mordhau mercenaries has to fight a single guy with modern weaponry.

Horses are the new archers so don't worry, they'll be nerfed soon. Imo they're perfectly balanced though, as there are horses on both sides of the battle. If your team's cavalry can't counter the enemy's, that's your team's problem.

  1. The slowdown when running into people is fine. A horse won't get stunned after bumping into someone in real life, except when there's too many people, and the game emulates this too.
  2. It takes practice to hit the horse on foot but it's not difficult. I've met experienced players with billhooks and spears that I just had to avoid otherwise I'd definitely be killed. Horses have a slight advantage over most weapons, as they should, but are not uncounterable, specially when there's a group of people together. You may kill one but the others will definitely hit you.
  3. Totally agreed, horses need to have an AI. It would be interesting to see them roaming and wandering off of the map after a while when left alone, instead of remaining static.

Well, I've seen a lot of crap in duels and I couldn't care less if you can "git gud" and learn how to counter it, it's still crap. Mordhau promised drags would be very minor yet they're as powerful as they were in Chivalry, you can hide attack animations in several ways, do almost 360º attacks etc etc. Also, saying you won't see those gimmicks in higher level gameplay is bullshit, everyone will use and abuse them just like they did in Chivalry.

Mordhau's combat may have less problems, but they're still annoying. People will learn how to master even more exploits in the future, and I don't expect these problems to be fixed because veteran players would get pretty angry. Everyone except the most dedicated players will lose interest once they see that much crap in combat, playerbase diminishes, game becomes known for it's exploitable combat... it's Chivalry all over again.

Archery is balanced, just needs a speed buff to be more fun to play. Being able to kick with a bow in-hand would be nice too.
