Some severe confirmation Bias going on here

You do know you have the ability to disable the chat right? Wouldn't this solve all the problems?

You are always going to find someone in the world that say something you find disagreeable or is simply shitty in general, being on the internet only makes it easier to find and see, anyone with a reasonable degree of experience online knows to expect this and how to deal with it.

Why is this even an issue?

Honestly I think at this point these threads are just troll posts

Some people just love to be drama queens it seems.

This was a minor hiccup that was reversed within 24 hours, the fact that an indie dev team fixed the few cases of false positives in such a short period of time is an achievement in itself, yet people like you are still crying for compensation.

Get yourself over it and stop trying to extort free gold that you clearly do not deserve.

Wouldn't this just result in no one wanting to do basic attacks if the riposte is guaranteed damage? If anything it would encourage MORE feint spamming in order to avoid blocks entirely.

The game sold well over 500 k copies, wildly beyond the dev's expectations, it most certainly does have the population for a competitive mode considering its such a niche game.

This game is ripe for a competitive mode, since there are currently no real fresh competitors aside from I guess For Honor, and given the games good state at the moment, its got a lot of potential to establish itself.

Its also pretty silly to think that a competitive mode would decrease population, when in fact it would most likely serve to increase the games longevity and therefore population over time. If you don't want to play competitively, then keep playing regular matchmaker as always to have fun!

People who are worried about toxic twats have a fair point, but at the same time people who stick with this game tend to be a little more mature than the average Dota player/ equivalent game. Either way we wont know until we try!

I play cavalry a lot, and it seems to be one of those instances where if unchecked, Cavalry will quite happily murdinate the opposing team with ease. The vast majority of kills I tend to get are those who are not watching their backs (I usually run a Greatsword on horseback, I like the swing range)

However, I have started to notice more players cracking down on cavalry specifically, either through billhook classes, or engineers building walls ect. When 4-5 players do this on one team, cav suddenly becomes much less dangerous. Furthermore players that watch their backs and block the attacks significantly reduce cavalry's killing power.

Certainly when on horseback, nothing is worse than a sneaky billhook chap swinging at you from nowhere, and if he does land a hit on you, that's you dead fair and square. I do think weapons like spears should rear horses like in warband though, and help reduce the crude battering ram approaches a lot of horsemen seem to do.

That being said, cav could do with some tuning, but I certainly don't think its broken as is.

This level of pontificating is frustrating.

That word is complete irony.

While true, I think my words don't match the complete sense of perceived self importance the op has.

I literally have no issue with using shields, there just less of a brain dead 'Right click to force field' and now an item that actually requires some thought. They are still very strong, especially if your playing with a group of 6 running shields and pushing objectives in front line, not much can stop you.

Having been playing a custom archer class more recently, I honestly don't see why so many people are upset about this, archer feels about right once you get used to the projectile speed (which was pointed out as realistic)

I even topped the scoreboard a few times, I mainly found success as a counter archer, and my play-style was usually go for flanks/high ground and pick off injured enemies if there were no easy archer kills. At times I wasn't afraid to get in close to hit a target a few times and then finish off in melee, it seems a lot of people who push you don't expect archers to be able to chamber or even block properly with a short sword.

I think a lot of people need to realise that buffing archers would be cancerous for the majority of the player-base, and that archers really should be a support class, I honestly felt nothing was broken with using them and feel they are in a good spot, although a slight projectile speed increase wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility.
