It's an Alpha, not a full release. Take a seat.

Not backing, sorry but the game looks ready for beta testing/early acess and was supposed to be launched this year. Seeing the March 2018 release date totally killed my hype and you're asking too much for a chance to play the game this year, plus it's only for a couple weeks because it's just an alpha test. I could back if it was $40 tops for early acess, not alpha, this is too much and I rather wait for release.

From the Kickstarter page:

Backing at the Alpha level or above ($60+), will give you access to our Backer Alpha, which will begin around August 2017 and last until Beta. The alpha will be missing certain features & content, and the focus will be on testing the combat.

Backing at the Beta level or above ($40+) will give you access to our Backer Beta, which will begin around January 2018 and last until Release. The beta will be in a more polished state than the alpha, and be more or less feature-complete.

Backing at the Release level or above ($20+) will give you access to the game on release, which will be around March 2018. At release, the game will be feature-complete.

So no, it's not just a few weeks. You're effectively getting access to the game several months in advance.

DEDICATED SERVERS. Bad netcode can ruin a multiplayer game, especially a melee title with a focus on precise timing. Peer-to-peer? > No, thanks. Dedicated servers ensure a stable experience and low ping.

KEK. For Honor BTFO.

Evidently the Mordhau team doesn't just make medieval combat simulators. They also make fascism simulators.
