We are really not getting ANY clarity from the devs, we end up having to make speculations or ask them privately.

I'd also like to see actual numbers instead of just "changed damage values of halberd". There is no reason to keep this secret or in the shadows, why do we have to spend so much time to figure out the numbers ourselfs when we are supposed to test the game.
It's pretty embarrassing that we have to create damage/speed tables ourselfes because the devs won't provide one for us, even though they would clearly have an easier time finding them out than us.

From what I heard all numbers have been put in by hand, multipliers might not even exist.

Also, would it be possible to re-arrange the numbers in a way to be more readable?
Right now its very messy.

Seems a bit high to me, especially when comparing to the numbers from WOTR (Which worked really well in encouraging the use of different weapons. There were very few weapons and no weapon types that were not used in that game).
Even the highest damaging 2H sword from WOTR is totally wreked when compared to a mere longsword from Mordhau!

I wouldn't compare WotR with this game. It plays entirely differently and the approach to game balancing (the aspects you have to keep in mind) is also very different.

Added Cleaver and Spear damage

When the spear is worse at thrusting than fucking swords are...

Devs still claim the spear is perfectly fine. They've played some pub games with it and rekt a lot of people, but honestly they would've been better with any other weapon (talking about that halberd). We won't see any spear changes by the looks of it.

Thank you for the damage values. Do you happen to have a list for the other weaponry or are you perhaps working on them?

I've made a post about it once, check my profile and look at the threads I created, you'll find some useful information there.
The list I made is not complete, but you are welcome to make additions, I will do a proper excel of it soon (tm).

I've been trying out weapons and looked over the damage sheet I made and noticed something weird.
The Mace easily outclasses the Warhammer by a LOT.
Here are the different damage values.
ss+(2017-09-20+at+02.25.16).png
ss+(2017-09-20+at+02.25.43).png

The Mace can two shot people with one head hit and another body hit on heavy armor. The Warhammer has to hit the body, switch to alt grip and then hit the head. The Mace can also kill a heavy armor user in 3 body swings, meanwhile the Warhammer needs 4. The stab too is just weaker then the Maces one.
Overall, the Warhammer is left in a very weak spot, the reward for useing the alt grip is barely worth anything and only helps in some rare cases (decreasing your overall damage if you miss the head). The Mace has way higher raw damage, a very fast (and much stronger) stab, a slow swing that can be dragged and used to catch opponents parry off (giving it a really good morph game), has just a much more secure damage game (1 torso stab, 1 leg swing and 1 torso swing still 3 shots) AND can be thrown (strongest thrown weapon on heavy armor).
The Mace has been called OP by many given its one of the best 1 handers at the time. The Warhammer, which would be its blunt counter part, has nothing to compare itself to the Mace. It's easily outclassed in every aspect (other than the meager 5-10 extra damage on head) and is, really, not worth using.
I'd love to see some changes to the alt mode being more useful, maybe more damage for the alt mode on certain armor types instead of just receiving 5 extra damage on head hits. The ability to 3 shot heavy armored torso would also be nice (even the bastard sword can do it in 3 stabs).
Thanks for reading my feedback.

It is true that heavy armor is very powerful as of now, which is justified once the perk system is out. Using heavy armor will come at a cost, and people who chose not to use it will draw benefits from other perks.

I personally play with a medium/light armor mix. I find the extra movement speed very useful and it helps my footwork game by a lot, I can manage to outpace enemies and get around them easier.
