Ladder Bug I have encountered today.
I would climb a ladder as usual, however it wouldn't push me on top once I reached the end, instead it would just let go, leaving me unable to climb any ladder, restarting the game has fixed the issue.
Though not really game breaking in any way, it was pretty inconvenient, thought I'd record it and leave it here.
I have no real info on how or why this has happend in the first place.
We are really not getting ANY clarity from the devs, we end up having to make speculations or ask them privately.
I'd also like to see actual numbers instead of just "changed damage values of halberd". There is no reason to keep this secret or in the shadows, why do we have to spend so much time to figure out the numbers ourselfs when we are supposed to test the game.
It's pretty embarrassing that we have to create damage/speed tables ourselfes because the devs won't provide one for us, even though they would clearly have an easier time finding them out than us.
From what I heard all numbers have been put in by hand, multipliers might not even exist.
Also, would it be possible to re-arrange the numbers in a way to be more readable?
Right now its very messy.
I look beautiful up there.
this better gets a hotfix soon.
Messer damage values are in. Thanks to Iceman for helping me.
"ShowDebug PHYSICS" let's you see speed values among some other things. Pretty useful.
It's an alpha.
Rapier damage is in, check it out!
I wouldn't compare WotR with this game. It plays entirely differently and the approach to game balancing (the aspects you have to keep in mind) is also very different.
Devs still claim the spear is perfectly fine. They've played some pub games with it and rekt a lot of people, but honestly they would've been better with any other weapon (talking about that halberd). We won't see any spear changes by the looks of it.
Added Bardiche and Billhook damage values.
Billhook is so bad it hurts.
Added Cleaver and Spear damage
It is true that heavy armor is very powerful as of now, which is justified once the perk system is out. Using heavy armor will come at a cost, and people who chose not to use it will draw benefits from other perks.
I personally play with a medium/light armor mix. I find the extra movement speed very useful and it helps my footwork game by a lot, I can manage to outpace enemies and get around them easier.
soon
You might be able to chamber it if you look at the blade instead of your opponent.
As of now chambering stabs is very easy to do and I like the fact that drags make it a not consistent chamber.
Personally not a fan of the "White/Blue vs Black/Red" thing. I'd wish they'd use more creative colors that maybe have some relevance to the factions we are going to fight for.
Carving knife OP
With all the changes going on I don't feel motivated to find out the damage values, however you are more than welcome to do your part and give us some numbers you found out.
my post was better
Not entirely true. I personally play with Medium Leg and Head and Light Torso. I pretty much only get two shot by things and the extra movement speed allows me to do some sick footwork.
Light armor is really just for very advanced players. You'll start to appreciate it more once you know the capabilities of footwork.
