I agree, I have more fun in the less chaotic, team damage heavy frontline matches with "chivalry" style 24 player servers or half empty frontline servers.

perhaps save the 64 player servers for a different game mode that simulates a battle unit?

like maybe its 32 v 32 spearmen or spears vs axemen or something to simulate a unit on unit engagement from a medieval battle

so smaller map, fast respawns and just trying to get 32 ppl to work together to not just TK each other and wipe out the other team. being in formations, etc would be cool. no dudes throwing fire pots and axes or javelins from behind though ok?

what about 50 spear men vs 14 horses hehehe

now i am dreaming... craving these mod tools ;)

I agree with the OP. I don't mind doing odd things to catch an opponent out. Any good fighter will learn this trick.
My problem is the unrealistc.

people with high mouse sensitivity spinning around on the spot at a million miles per hour. its a lol, but not realistic.

I would prefer a more momentum based physics or controls.

so you can only spin around so fast, can only bend your torso so fast.

this would stop some ballerinas i think.

didn't read the thread but a samurai expansion or mod would be great

with fuedal japan maps etc

naginata, no dachi, nunchuka lol some cool weapons and armor from this period

the possiblities are endless with mordhau combat
please SDK so we can get this shit going and add more variety and content to the game

reflect team damage is a good option

when your head explodes when you hit a team mates head, they carry on and you die... perhaps rethinking your choices.

make horses more realistic
atm they are just a giant player character with extra legs, speed, power and damage. oh sometimes they slow down to hit a wall then spin around and ride off again

it's only a problem if it goes so low you can't find people to play against in your region.

i don't think it will.

for those who leave because they get killed too much and can't learn the mechanics and need to "win" to enjoy themselves. good riddance. go play some other care bear game.

for those who leave because theres no esports ranked matchmaking league competitions - go play overwatch or something equally lame.

for those who leave because omergod firepots and horses and bad map design waaah - fair enough they are annoying =P

for those of you who feel that a game needs to give you a sense of achievement and progression and rewards then 1. you should probably do something IRL and 2. go play something by ubisoft or EA and unlock some perks and titles and achievements.

for those of you who love parrying, swinging, dodging, jumping, laughing, cursing, screaming, yelling, punching, dying, decapitating, dismembering, blood lusting action! then good! i'll see you on the battle field!

No Thanks, Rain is never one well in games.
little lines across the screen are pointless if the rain isn't interacting with the surfaces it lands on.
fog? yeah that would be OK to ruin the fun for archers and close people in and have crazy dudes running out of fog. but again, to make the effects look real, you need a really good system and engine and all that so it feels pointless.

night time would be OK aswell if the lighting effects are done well.

but otherwise, NO, lets focus on the combat and the maps.

random slipping over on mud and ice? yeah that would be fun for 5 minutes lol

naked rodents are free kills to me and my thirsty zwiehander

front line is a cluster fuck of random deaths and stupid other sht

but no one else in my region plays TDM or skirmish or anything but frontline.

I am not getting bored of it. I enjoy the mindless slaughter. even if I get slaughtered a lot.
If my team is getting stomped, I try and break off and find some enemies that aren't in big groups.

You can't take frontline too seriously.
the objectives are pointless... even when you capture a point so you can spawn on it... you don't really spawn on it, you aren't that far from the original spawn point anyway.

this isn't chivalry where doing an objective was kinda fun and got you to the next section of the map that was almost like playing on an entirely new map.

it's got long reach
has a good stab for those tight confines.
good for 1 shotting those pesky archers and peasants.
good for chopping through multiple enemies with 1 swing

I prefer the slow moving but heavy hitting weapons.
to me it seems more efficient to kill with the least amount of blows as possible.

I know that I am easy to counter and easy to parry but that's OK.

it's a satisfying weapon for sure.
I still struggle to land those headshots consistently so I tip my hat to those that do so well morphing and feinting and dancing around!

when i use the maul and things are going my way and im getting lots of head pops I am all like!

the votekick system is pretty bad.
until they come up with a solution, i reccomend the following:

attachment to xp and gold is your problem.
you will get it back, it's ok.
your rank is just the amount of XP you have "earned" while playing.
gold is just to unlock cosmetics really. play more and you can buy your shiny things.

there are many other servers to play on, if theres a bunch of dicks on one. go to another.
they win if you get mad. so don't get mad.
game is meant to be fun, your not having fun? you can leave or make it fun

you might be able to host your own server.
grow the african mordhau community there.

but i guess there are no african warriors or armor in mordhau so why would anyone want to play a game where their culture isn't represented
also there would be way too much use of the word nigeria in an african server so i don't think the devs should host one.

I've said it in a few different posts but just make the horses more realistic

no jump button. horses don't jump on command.
horses don't like going in area's that are unstable such as the ramparts and platforms on crossroads
horses will buck like bronco's when hurt, or take off aka bolting. when a rider runs into a wall at full speed the rider should get unseated at least and have to climb off the horses neck to get back into the saddle before turning and running off again.
if you are close enough and smash the horse in the butt with a weapon it should then bolt off in a random direction where the rider cannot control.
a good chop to the legs should take them off, the legs that is - horse limb dismemberment please.
a rider being hit with most weapons long enough to reach them, when he is at full gallop riding past should knock him off at the very least.
horses won't run into objects full speed. if you are not at a full gallop, your horse should automatically try and avoid running into people.
the horses have too much health at the moment.

I don't mind the horses too much, I Don't use them often either.
They just need to act more like real horses.

for example, you can't make a horse jump on command. so take that out of the game. small objects they should auto jump when they get to them but others they should shy and throw the rider.

should be able to knock a rider off with just about any hit when they are galloping full speed at you too.

they should be vulnerable to leg damage

no more galloping along the ramparts in crossroads and jumping from platform to platform.

i hope the devs don't follow this suggestion.

i like how free the game is to be just a game.

the problem with the gaming industry at the moment is too many devs and publishers cater to this new age (damn kids get off ma lawn) market to make the extra money.

all this, rewards this, accomplishment that, acheivements this, unlock that, micro transaction this, win that is all the reason why most games suck these days.

you can't please everyone so stop trying.

have a look at all the games that go down that path.
they all die when the new shiny comes out, they leave a rotten empty husk in it's wake.

keep it simple add more game modes and cosmetics and maps and people will keep playing and buying.

don't waste time with esports, competition, twitch steamers, micro transactions, ranks and unlocks. it has no place in this silly violent fun little brawler
