game has awesome potential with SDK because the combat system IMO already works in a really fun way.

think an opponent is using 3rd person?
stand infront of them up close and stab, it is very hard to read what is coming at you when your character blocks your vision.

i used to use 3rd person in chivalry a lot because i liked the extra peripheral vision and could block attacks coming at me from behind
I also like ducking under a swing but guess what you can do this easy in 1st person 2.
some people are even good at doing certain emotes really fast that help this too! that is too advanced for me.

mordhau 3rd person view is much closer in and i found it hard to see stabs coming at me so i switched back to first person

i do equally well with both views

this isn't a problem worth worrying about.

if you truly are a fan of medieval battles then you don't care if you are are good or not because even dying and just being on the battlefield is a fun experience IMO

you are always going to be better than someone else, and there is always someone better than you... that's life

tired of these entitled millennial's who think they should get an award for participating or deserve some kind of reward for being

IMO invasion is a better version of frontline

its closer to chivalry team objective but still no where near as good.

i much prefer invasion because there is less waiting to spawn and more people in 1 area to kill!
you get to fight in areas of the maps that rarely got seen in frontline

overall i think its good and am looking forward to more maps having invasion and more updates to the game in general

can they be made in UDK and imported somehow?

they have updates coming, just a bit slowly.
the more content the release over time the more sales they make over time.

people who bought the game and have stopped playing because they no longer enjoy it or are playing something else is fine also thats the nature of gaming.

i don't play as often as i did now but i often get the hankering for some violence or only have 20mins spare to play something i can jump right into a choice of a few full to the brim servers for some chaotic fun and have no plans to uninstall this game as i still find it extremely fun... but this niche is perfect for me, i was die hard chivalry player and until there are more games with this style of combat then i won't be going anywhere.

if the game looses even more people then the dedicated community ramps up and there will be certain days and times to play and the community will be even better to play with/against so no problems here

halloween event would be cool but don't expect the devs to waste too much time/effort on it

some good ideas

leg hits are OK imo. if you are wearing armor on legs it should help.

i think 2 handed weapons shouldn't work on horses

i don't mind bowmen on horses though but shouldn't be able to steer at same time.

of course spears and lances are OK

the above mentioned mods to couching and readying are good

horse should throw you or die if you smash it in the neck with your weapon

agree with most of that.

horses are unrealistic atm.

horses don't jump on command, they only jump over things, sometimes...

horses should buck, pigroot, shy and rear up when told to run into walls or along narrow planks and unstable terrain or when they get smacked in the neck from the riders zwiehander lol

their legs are frail so any damage to legs should result in the above problems or even the horse falling down and not moving or atleast moving way slowly.

riders should fall off during some of the above circumstances

riders should need to be skillfull horse riders

Yes please.

I don't like horde mode so a different type of coop would be good thanks

I'm happy with the game just being a game... no need for devs to come to my birthday party and tell me about their bowel movements.

cool if they did what OP suggests but cool if they don't, it's their lives, their product, do what you want with it, i paid my money for the product and have had hundreds of hours of fun and lols so im happy.

or they could hire me to help with what the OP wanted so I can quit my current job... i'd be pretty good at it... maybe

lol
i'll play both
2 different products
can jump in and have fun in mordhau instantly for short or long plays
wow takes time and puts you to sleep

release the patch when it's ready and don't worry at all about timing with other things.

the OP's concerns are not warranted

in the game, with a flick of my wrist, i can turn my character 180 or 360 in like .1 a second.

in reality it's more like .5 a second

can't find a video example but in this clip the squats are too fast. funny but not realistic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsN9efR6miI
again turning your body, on the spot, 180 or 360 or 50million degrees is so fast it's blurry and I think immersion would be improved if there was a max speed you could move your body this way.

the only time in combat i think that it's a bad, and ive done this before, you hear somoene come up behind you and swing, so you can almost instantly turn around and parry, then turn back around and carry on forwards all seemingly within a split second

people with high mouse sensitivity spinning around on the spot at a million miles per hour. its a lol, but not realistic.

If you mean while swinging, you're wrong. Your sensitivity is capped while attacking.

If you mean while not swinging, why is this an issue? You want to limit sensitivity in general? I'm going to assume you're not so stupid as to actually be thinking this.

I mean while not swinging. Michael Jackson and a figure skater can spin around on the spot at really high speeds but in Mordhau it looks silly.
What I am meaning is that like for example tapping very fast the crouch button, and spinning your character around on the spot really fast, say, making long swipes with your mouse across your mouse pad to make your character do 10, 360 degree spins in .5 of a second is silly.

I don't want to limit sensitivity, i want to limit how fast your character can do these actions, to better represent how a person could do it in real life.

it's not game braking and no one is doing this to exploit the mechanics. it's just an immersion thing.

even very fast looking up and down. it just needs to be slowed down so that its at a real person speed not computer character speed.
you feelin me bro?

3rd person is a good reminder of what team you are on
3rd person is good extra FOV to see people coming at you from behind even!

3rd person is hard to block stabs from people right in front of your face because your character blocks your view of them.

I enjoyed playing mostly 3rd person in chivalry but it was higher and further away perspective?

In Mordhau I have gone back to 1st person as I feel I can parry more consistently and read better the distances.

Binding a better key the P might solve some of the OP's conerns

I agree, I have more fun in the less chaotic, team damage heavy frontline matches with "chivalry" style 24 player servers or half empty frontline servers.

perhaps save the 64 player servers for a different game mode that simulates a battle unit?

like maybe its 32 v 32 spearmen or spears vs axemen or something to simulate a unit on unit engagement from a medieval battle

so smaller map, fast respawns and just trying to get 32 ppl to work together to not just TK each other and wipe out the other team. being in formations, etc would be cool. no dudes throwing fire pots and axes or javelins from behind though ok?

what about 50 spear men vs 14 horses hehehe

now i am dreaming... craving these mod tools ;)
