I've got exactly the same problem. Sometimes my internet connection is down due to my ISP and I can't play anything offline .Even the tutorial doesn't accept the "P" to begin.
I understand it's an online multiplayer game. It's very annoying to always need a internet connection just to play a tutorial or to train with bots.
Note : to rebind the keys does nothing

enemy attacks are more readable in 3rd.

Try a fight in 3rd against a short weapon who is constantly closed to you. It forces you suddently to look very down, just to watch what the antagonist does, because your own silhouette hides everything. So instantly you lose all the benefits of 3rd, and it forces you to constantly juggle with up and down movement with the mouse.
The only reason I play in 3rd is because Motion Sickness tends to be very hard in 1st.

When we will play in 3rd with our character silhouette's outline only, yes it will become an advantage. I'll be the first to admit. But there's no client mod yet for this purpose.

they aren't accomplishing less for their team because :

  • They force someone to go back, at the opposite of where he should go.
  • They outnumber him, because they know the spawn kill causes instant individual's reactions. So they face one ennemy at once. Which is far more easy to kill, than an organized counter-offensive. That's reinforced because it happens in the back of the scene.
  • By killing someone as soon he spawns, you are sure he does NOTHING against your team. I don't see what could be more effective than spawn kill.
  • To aim at a spawn point is 100% rate, easy kill.
  • The ballista ends up to be ineffective in all cases. It's WIN WIN for them.

It happens in camp too, where the ballista is behind the spawn point at a certain time. Same type of commando of 2/3 tiers players (lvl 54 to 74) who can totally break the game.
Incoming team objective modes should solve that, bringing the fun back.
Frontline in many aspects is bad designed and a broken mode. So shit happens.

In the release phase of the attack you can't turn your torso as far than before the release phase.
So if you wait the release happens to turn your camera, the torso rotation is embedded in the drag. It becomes less predictable than a drag that starts before the release.
Maybe you start your drags with too much anticipation. Try to start drag at the release time and not to fast.

Traps are still causing lots of shitty situations. Frontline and Duel don't need twice more trolls and TKs.

It happens to me sometimes in frontline mode too. Probably a sync problem between the main server and the one where we're playing.

In Frontline, sometimes your teamate is your worse ennemy. And it's not because of him. It's because of leveldesign which open space for misunderstanding.
I've got a good exemple with the catapult at the "Camp". Some Blue wants to destroy the catapult, other blue wants to keep it.
First one thinking of the huge advantage reds can gain with using the catapult, second one thinking the immediate advantage only. Both are right, but the first is strategic, whereas the second one is tactic. Those two mindsets aren't the same.
At this time frontline maps aren't good for teamplay. It's not rare to see fights between team mates because of its sandbox and bad balanced maps aspects, causing misunderstanding. That's a big issue when you're in a frontline mode, which turns into death match because of its bad level design. A teamplay should be the team interest instead the simple sum of the individual's interests.

Stabbing is not effective against FULL plate armor in real life. They were made to deviate stabs.
That's why mordhau and blunt weapon exist.

Spear's advantages IRL :

  • super easy to learn
  • cost of a spear, it's fast to produce.
  • super effective when spearmen grouped with shields
  • best in 1v1 against swordman, because the first hit can kill (see next point)
  • stab hit can cause Hemorrhagic stroke more easily than a slash (because the spear in the wound, makes an up and down movement)
  • great with a shield
  • great against cavalry

They will earn Ban without the need of a votekick.
Much more easy than Votekick which leads to nothing but your own Votekick.
