I know i'm asking for a pipedream here, but they say it never hurts to ask...
I don't expect like adaptive resolutions or anything, I'm cool with adjusting my graphics so I can get acceptable frame rates for splitscreen if it came to that.
So eh? whaddya think devs? Splitscreen maybe? At least for TDM and the like? (I can see how respawning in frontline might be problematic splitscreen, but this is a non-issue in other modes since you don't need to select span point you can just spawn at the only point available)

It seems disproportionate to how fast it swings (which feels perfect btw).
I feel like the frying pan should stab just slightly faster (and yes I felt this way before the patch, it's just bad enough now that I'm saying something)

Does anyone know if the devs have plans to improve on the controller support?
It's extremely lacking in combat buttons and doesn't work in many menus.
I'm realizing it's not officially listed as a feature on the store page, and wondering if it's going to be expanded on...
(Because if not I plan to expand on the controller profile I submitted to the Steam community and add all the missing buttons, like catapult power control)

I'm not sure what you mean. What is there to be confirmed exactly? The video clearly shows a dude throwing a falchion while getting stabbed, not two guys swinging at each other. The second case is impossible as far as I know, but the first case is obvious, for example, fire pot, two archers, flesh wound being the most common contenders for 2 people killing each other.

I've had the second case happen. Sadly I was not recording at the time.

To me it actually sounds like a buff to smoke.

That's exactly what it is. You can now throw a smoke bomb down and anyone running after you in the cloud won't get the chase buff.

And done. I now know what is happening.
It's that the stab isn't working after strike unless you move the camera.
This is after Patch #6 (and was before)

Updating first post now.

I'm having the same issue but I'm sure it was fine yesterday. Checked and double checked with other games and everything works fine

I actually noticed the issue in full with the lute yesterday. Prior to yesterday I had thought it had something to do with me using the mouse in the menu and it just not responding after mouse use, but playing with the lute more made me realize that wasn't the case.

Randomly the game will freeze up and become unresponsive for several seconds and then abruptly resume.

I've made a video documenting this happening 5 times in a single match:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDA9Zv35BuI
Time stamps to each instance are in the description of the video.

System Specs:
AMD FX 8350
GTX 760
16GB RAM

I did A LOT of digging trying to find some kind of a workaround or fix and it led me to finding out that it seems to be a bug with Xaudio2 and FX processors. According to This, it seems UE4 takes 6 times longer to process Xaudio on AMD FX processors than on Intel.

This is way out of my depth, and I only came across the above information from text descriptions that sounded like my issue, so I may be off and that's why I made the video showing exactly what is happening.

I really hope this is fixed soon, as it prevents me from playing the game any kind of seriously, and that's just a shame because the game is great otherwise. (well save for a controller issue or two)

If there's any more information at all I can provide to help resolve this issue, I will happily do so.

The stab button on the controller (using default controls) outright doesn't respond often after the Attack key was pressed most of the time.

When first having this issue in training I had thought perhaps it had something to do with me exiting the menu, as it was often unresponsive then, but now i'm finding just whenever the strike key is pressed, about 40% of the time stab doesn't respond. I most readily noticed this when playing the lute, I could mash stab and it works, but Stab, Attack, Stab (R1, RT, R1) and often the second r1 doesn't do anything.

Once i noticed this I checked again with the frying pan and sure enough, stab randomly doesn't work after a swing.
Update:
So I figured out what's happening. Stab doesn't work after strike until you move the camera. I dunno if this was intentional or not. It feels ike "No" because you can move the camera the tiniest bit and it will work again, even if there's no change in angle.
