Just add an stamina bar to shield, whenever the shield is held up it consumes slowly and whenever its down it recovers... You cant rise your shield if that stamina bar reaches 0, there, problem solved.

Don't implement any sort of ranking in this game, multiplayer games don't need this addition it only divides the community and incentivices crap like account selling, smurfing and other cancerous activities.

There is no point in dividing the community in "rankings" people that is good will remain good no matter what but people that is not will never be able to improve because they will be always separated from the good players and this they will become "trapped" in a rank.

Ranks never do anything good for multiplayer games but encourage toxicity and unnecesary división and control.

What control? Well mmr systems tend to cheat and they are rigged in the name of "fair play" i don't need a game rigging muy games in muy favor or against me, if im gonna be beaten so bad by good players so be it, i prefer that than rigged mmr systems that never makes people improve.

I'm on your side here. About the boring opinion, it's an opinion that is shared by the vast majority of this community.

You can go through my posts and see where I have said numerous times the devs should never touch kick, because it would create some of the stupidest meta in any melee game ever, making kick everyone's go-to. Imagine if they would have buffed kick length globally intsead of just shields? I would not play this game. For that, I feel for you.

Kick is not inherently bad design, you're wrong there. Kick was and is fine expect versus shields because the devs made it an offensive mechanic vs shields when it should always be defensive one no matter who you're fighting.

The problem with kick is that is not that bad as it was but was kinda unreliable, when i said it is bad designed i mean technically because obviously it only needs someone to increase some numbers and it does crazy shit like the one this person described.

But overall kick now is an "i win buttom" vs shields, it is in no way balanced and before it was still useable vs shields now it is completely OP.

Something tells me the Devs know this but choked under community pressure. Now you have people on reddit praising devs for it and spiting on alpha players for saying kick was fine in the first place, because it was fine in the first place.

Now we have more un-fun and more un-healthy meta surrounding shields and the core issue of hitbox size was only touched up.

Kick should go back to how it was, i think shield needs to be balanced in other way maybe make it so whenever you held your shield up it drains stamina but not drain stamina on hits like when you parry with a 2 handed so there is 2 clear diferent playstyles, one that drains stamina whenever you held your shield up but not when you block and the other that whenever you block and attack you lose stamina like it is now...

Or maybe add a shield "stamina" bar that is independent from the normal stamina bar that gets drained whenever you held your shield up and it immeditaley starts recovering when you lower it. Whith this option, any block would still drain the normal stamina bar.

I think the latter option is the best, add another "shield held stamina bar".

I have been saying it, buffing the reach of the kick only on shields is RIDICULOUS not only that but also unfair, why kicks have to be insanely OP on shields and not on 2 handed?

Indeed the kicks have longer reach when done to a shield, it is just retarded how this selfish hypocrites are defending this BS.

Another falacy, kick was buffed to nerf shields, the range is still terrible vs a 2 handed loadout, the buff is only something a 2 handed build can consistently do to a shield user not the other way around.
