Yes there is a seperate button to go unarmed (not fists)

What does the alternate mode button do when the fists are equipped?

Man, killing people with an uppercut is going to be satisfying as hell.

Huh, that sounds exactly like what I was talking about. Sweet.

There is supposed to be three inventory slots in the game. One-handed weapons take up one slot, two-handed two slots >and I would assume that only polearms will take up three slots

Is that confirmed? Personally I'm hoping the inventory system is a little deeper than that. I'd prefer it if those numbers were, say, doubled, to allow for a little more mixing and matching. So you'd have, say, six slots. Most one-handed weapons and shields would take up two, two handers would take up four, and then the gigantic fucking weapons might take five. Then you could have throwables, and other similar small things, take up one slot. So rather than just choosing a polearm and literally nothing else, you could have a polearm and, say, a throwing axe or two. Or a sword, a mace, a smoke bomb and a throwing knife. Of course those numbers could all be off, but you get the idea - making the numbers higher (but still proportional to one another) allows for more customization options.

And I do think throwables and the like will take up slots rather than their own thing, because at one point in one of the interviews Crushed pondered the idea of a guy who would use exclusively javelins. The way he worded it suggested that you could carry quite a few at once if you wanted, but wouldn't have much room for anything else. Then again now that I type that I have no idea if javelins are considered proper weapons or consumables, so maybe I'm full of shit.

too much tba tbh imo

Might it be a good idea to include fists in the weapon list (and/or point out how they're mechanically different from other weapons)?

To be honest rather than a sling, I'd like a bag of rocks that you can just lug around, giving you a large quantity of throwables.

What if your main weapon is disarmed, but you still have a shield? As I recall we don't know how shields will work regarding disarming/stamina. If you have a shield in one hand and no weapon in the other hand, you'd still be able to parry with the shield, yeah? And it wouldn't look particularly goofy, no dudes running around like the hulk, deflecting weapons with their bare hands.

The shield will be disarmed first if you're using it with your weapon but else yee

Well, then, say you brought a small weapon and shield and threw the weapon. I hope it's not like Chivalry where your shield just vanishes if you don't have a weapon.

Hey actually a few people have made a few jokes about it already but I really want to see an ammoless gun as a skin for one of the blunt weapons even though if real guns aren't added
Probably would mess with identification though
I don't know if skins count as weapon suggestions but there you go

I said it as a joke, but same. I'd use it.

Three of the swamp men were in range of a Shatter.

Girard included himself in the radius to also hit a fourth swamp man.

All four of them died. That's the first time Girard's taken damage in like three or four sessions.

We left Bearbaros behind, and replaced him with Treagor, an Alchemist.

Girard only made one attack with the piano tonight, and missed. In fact, he dealt zero damage to anything. However, he did heal Adaline, and his Bardic Inspiration helped her crit deal enough damage to decapitate a troll.

In a nutshell (based on memory from watching it a couple days ago): There won't be realistic/real-time terrain destruction, one reason being most of the lighting is baked-in so that wouldn't look good. It's likely that there will be predetermined points that will be able to be destroyed by siege weapons, to open up alternate paths, etc.

Does the kick deal a tiny amount of damage? I'd be great if you were able to finish off a dying opponent by kicking him in the dick.

I wish they had shown off the mordhau grip with it, but I'm sure it looks great. Yeah, those both look solid, in my opinion.

...Are the gauntlets restricted to medium/plate, or can you use them with any armor tier?

I like that a developer evidently replied to this thread, but deleted their post or something.

Anyway, I agree completely. When I asked about improvised weapons, crushed mentioned bottles and chairs as being some of the pickup weapons, so having some tankards thrown in there would be cool, too. Bar brawls in this game are going to be fun.

Since chairs are confirmed to be one of the many environmental weapons, I'd love to be able to start with one of those, too. If not, though, having at least one joke weapon available from loadout is a good idea. The lute is as good a choice as any.

I want a reskin for a spear that's just a rifle with a bayonet. Or even without the bayonet.
