If there are just a few decent players in the match they will take out the horses relativly quickly.
Also engineers counter horses pretty well, if they set up structures in choke points.

What are your thoughts on the recent ammo buff and ballista turtles?

All the racists should have a black character with no armor for a week. (even though we can't have a black character even if we wanted to XD)

You do realize that racism these days has long lost it's original meaning and has just become another synonym for "unpopular ooinion" (aka. not backed by the mass media).

What is it with all the people always calling for the desv/mods to come out and hold their hand?

Sadly it's the people that team-switch and then block their own spawn point that mostly do this.
Or just random trolls.
Haven't really seen the enemy team do it.

What makes you think that whatever you have to say is not "offensive" to someone else?

If I can wish for only one change, this is it. To me this is the most game breaking issue in Frontlines atm.

Spawn blocking with constructions by a (friendly) engineer needs to be fixed.

Especially red castle spawn on Mountain Peak and blue castle spawn on Grad.

It usually means at least one lost objective and a severe disadvantage for the affected team.
It's not fun for either side and instantly ruins most games.
I don't see any reason why building in those areas should be allowed.

Just yestday I saw it happen twice.
For me that's an instant server switch no matter which side is affected. Banning the perpetrator is no solution as the match is most likely ruined and often it's not even clear who did it.

Can we get an option to display the characters in the team colors in the selection screen/armory?

I have no idea how my character looks from the front with the team colors.

Would love to see a key bind for sprint toggle.

It's interesting people don't really look to the real world for examples as they do stuff online, when it's the same thing.

I don't know about you but I play games precisely because they are not like the real world and allow me to experience things I could never have in real life.

Regarding the "freshness" of no rules, I'll just present my own experience. I was a mod for a huge forum that set out to create a place with no rules (only things not allowed was CP and flooding). It was fun at first and I poured my life into it because I loved the discussions. People could call staff the worse and there were no punishments. You could shop a photo of my mom's face eating dicks and I could not do anything. I met lots of great people (even 2 gfs lol) and lots of friends. 7 years later and "free speech" took its toll on the population. From tens of thousands of users, only a minority of recalcitrant edgy assholes remained. They didn't bother to discuss shit any more. They just used the place to chat between themselves and shitpost all day long. The active population decreased, new users were semi automatically rejected and only very few "thick skinned" masochists / autists stayed after the cold welcome.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. The internet constantly envolves. Things become stale and boring, new things pop up. People move on.
This has nothing to do with free speech or (lack of) regulation/moderation.

I don't mind that there are places that are heavily moderated but I'd rather not be part of it.
Only freedom of speech allows for true equality.

In contast to OP I find the absence of heavy regulation in this community on of it's best aspects.

It's sad that some people got so used to the constant censoring and moderation in today's world they can't cope without it.

There's always safe-space websites like reddit that you can join if you don't like this forum and other people already pointed out how to deal with in-game trolls.

The devs should focus on improving the gameplay and add more content. That is all that really matters for a game.

Do you remember that kid that always destroyed your sandcastles when you were little? How did you deal with that?

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure that's not it. What those players were doing was so fast that it was near impossible to block the swing on reaction.
I will try and record it if I spot them again.
Haven't seen anything like it all day.

I saw a bunch of guys yesterday doing extremely fast 2H swings. Like almost 360° in a split second.
Most people were caught unaware by that and they were easily dispatching big groups of enemies.
Most were using 2H swords like Zwei and longsword.

How is that possible? I thought there was a limit to mouse acceleration during attacks.

They all had kills in the 50-70 range. Some also seemed to be in a clan.

Anyone has an explanation for this?

Agree mostly on all points here. One thing I'd really like to see changed is the positioning of some the ballistas. Not sure what the idea was there, especially the blue team's ballista on camp, red get an actually useful ballista whereas blues literally does nothing unless you're about to lose. Oh no sorry, unless someone on red wants to spawn camp you. Nice.

Red siege equipment is indeed more useful on all maps. Especially the catapult on camp seems a bit unfair. It tks a lot but still...

I would prefer it if catapults would be mostly useful against barricades.

My stats are similar to yours but my impressions are a little different. I mainly play red.

Taiga: I agree. The blue spawns are downright annoying and I've ever only seen the blue team win once by completing the objectives. Otherwise it drags out forever or red wins relatively quick.

Camp: favors red a lot until blue takes the burned huts (whatever that's called) from red at which point I don't think I've ever seen red recover.

Grad: seems balanced to me. Red often wins by completing the objectives. Blue often wins by spawn camping red.

Mountain Peak: favors blue. Blue will win just by not losing their own objective. They don't even have to be aggressive.
The most fun map to me and where I've seen the closest matches.

Counter point on camp, have you ever seen Blue win once they lose whatever is after the river? I've been on red and retaken the huts several times (although never won after that due to too few points left).

Mountain peak favors blue slightly, the chokes for red means getting out of their spawn to retake the point further down is difficult, furthermore newbies keep going to defend the cart instead of retaking the point outside since they don't seem to understand they can't keep defending that thing forever.

Like I said camp favors red quite a bit. What you are saying is 100% accurate in my experience.

I really wish they would change the text on mountain peak to read "retake the point" instead of "stop the cart" (or at least both).

Lots of great changes but I also noticed a lot more engineers with balistas. I don't want to call it spam yet but it's a bit much imho.

This is not really important to the core gameplay but I was trying the lute the other day and was a bit disappointed that you can't actually play it besides it playing random chords and using it as midi player.

Cosidering that no extra key bindings would be added how about adding a special stance that would allow us to use 3 movement keys, sprint and jump to play the 5 pairs/strings of a 5 course lute. The mouse buttons could be used to change the octave up and down and I guess the velocity/volume should be randomized within a certain range.

Not ideal as the controls are kind of inverted compared to how you would play a real lute.

Maybe a guitar player can come up with a better scheme.

Anyway, would love to see some more control and room for creativity being added to lutes.
