To be honest, I think a deathrun map wouldn't 100% work, at least how it is in most other games, where someone presses a button to activate it behind a protected screen. A kind of castle keep full of traps would be fun though, in my opinion.

I thought about it more and with the physics and everything else it wouldnt work. Also it would get boring fast because it wouldnt work well at all. But a castle with traps everywhere would be nice and someone will make something like that, Im 100% sure.

the only true "mod" was crush showing off his lightsaber mod for star wars day

bud I don't think scaling down the size of one of the models and punting it through a goal counts as a mod. That's a very basic change to a model + making one other model (the goal).

I gave that as an example because thats the only "mod" we have seen so far. And tbh I would play human football because it seems like it could be pretty fun and funny.

Well, it came to me because what we have learned from Chivalry is that traps are a decoration and dethrun would be the only way to have the satisfaction of killing someone with a trap. And I think there would be people interested. I wouldnt play it myself, but I think there would be people playing it and it would be an awesome mod.

I mean give me a brake dude, the devs made a fucking human football mod.

I just got an idea for a custom map. What if you could make a deathrun mod/map. I think that would be pretty awesome.

Yeah, that map was among my favorite ones. But as I said in my first comment here, a grate toolkit for modding and map building can make the game 3 times more fun and keep people playing for years. I really want to see the community do there bets to make the game fun for others and themselves. Tons of custom maps, mods, game modes and everything else.

So a winter forest map.

A good toolkit can resolve all this. I trust that the dev team will make som nice maps because what we have seen so far looks really nice, at least to me. I just want a really good toolkit for creating maps, a map editor but more advanced with modding support, but not like what we have seen so far from games like CMW and such. I want it to be easy to use and learn so more people would be encouraged to make maps and at the same time that would bring more people into the game and keep them there. When the beta comes out, and later the full game, I suggest making forum or steam group/discussion of sorts that would be just for maps and another one for mods. I think that would help the community grow and encouraged modders and map builders to keep..................modding and map building . And that would also help people get together and make some really awesome mods and badass maps.

But a map that I would like to see would, at this time, probably be a forest with dense foliage with a spring that grows into a small stream, of course atmospheric sounds of birds, wind and stuff like that. In the middle or maybe better even somewhere close to the corner of the map there would be a village which is surrounded by the forest with a water mill, houses, a blacksmith, an inn........ All in all the basic stuff. But thats just from the top of my head and tomorrow or even later today Ill find at least 10 things wrong with this idea and what could be better. So dont give me shit for my shitty ideas.

I dont know how long it takes you to turn around but for normal humans it takes 1/3 of a second, more or less. Considering this is a medieval game, people in those times ad much better reflexes, movement/reaction time. I dont know why you would want to restrict turn speed. You would be able to run behind peoples backs and just stab them from behind till the die. Maybe thats what you want because you cant kill anyone in a fair fight. Yes, Im triggered.

I would want a special name tag look, maybe a red cape skin of sorts or some special armor ornaments/design. Or even something like Dungeon Defenders II did where they have a special forum for people who bought the more expensive pre-purchase version of the game, and there you can talk among the beta testers and people who were there from the start as well as directly talk to developers about new patches, bugs, fixes, changes, anything and everything concerning the game.
It all depends on the prices they will put on kickstarter.

Tnx for the responses, I guess it wouldnt fit and would be hard to balance :/.

P.S.
I referenced For Honor because thats the only medieval game I know that has that. By the way I dont like For Honor at all and think that the price is extremely high (I would rather pay 60$ for Mordhau than for FH), I also didnt have any ulterior motive for referencing it other than the one I stated.

Forgot to add that you would use your elbow in combo attacks as well. So maybe an elbow punch or something like that instead of shoulder/body bush.

While thinking about all the moves and things you are adding something came to mind. In medieval combat you would use your shoulders to shove your opponent, to stagger them. if you swung (right to left) and you missed, your right side would be completely open. In those situations if the enemy was close enough you would use the momentum and try to push/stagger them to give you time to get back in stance. This is just an idea but I think it would bring a lot of variety to the combat and combos. Maybe make it that it requires a lot of stamina or if you miss you receive a penalty like a stagger or grate stamina loss, and/or that it can only be used if you have a certain amount of armor (of course requiring you have some sort of shoulder pads). Or maybe that you can use it no matter the armor you have tho you could only use it successfully on a target close to your armor/weight or lower, and if you used it fully armored on a significantly lower armored target they would be staggered for longer. But the lower armored players would have faster movement and reaction time to counter that. I dont know. I think it would be awesome and an interesting move, that was used in medieval times, but hasnt been incorporated in any medieval games Ive seen so far except in For Honor. It would bring another option than just having a kick that brakes the whole flow a your strikes and combos. You could tie the push with combos and things like that. Of course it would need to fit in the gameplay stile and whatnot, so I would love to hear every ones thoughts on this and if you would like this in the game, or if you would change it, how it works, add something different or not add anything like this. Sry for the long comment by the way :)
