Cosmetic unlocks are ok I guess as long as it doesn't take 400 hours to unlock them. I don't want to look like a trash can for 400 hours before I get things that look cool.

Yeah I don’t either, but I think a steady stream of new and cool cosmetic shit would be neat because then you could be slowly building your badass mercenary, instead of just having him to begin with is a cool idea. But yeah, just a total grind would be annoyoling. Maybe really cool ornate stuff kind of intermittently once you’re of a sufficiently high level, and the majority of things unlockable before then, allowing you to make cool stuff before several hundred hours, but only those who are really committing get the really cool stuff.

I would just as soon be able to pick whatever loadout I want and go. I don't like unlocks / grinding. Not everything has to be a JRPG XD

I agree for weapons and armor and important stuff, but when it comes to aesthetic things it's completely different than just some RPG. You'd have all your options available the instant you buy the game, just not the cosmetic stuff. Kind of a bad analogy to compare it to RPGs, or are you just referring to weapon unlockables?

Sounds nice, but if you’re good enough at partying this is just a nerf to shields. I’ve always thought it would be cool if shield have a small party window like normal weapons, but continues blocking like normal after that, making you able to parry a charging horse if you’re good, and only getting knocked down if you’re not. Any problems with this idea that have been discussed before? Because I think that would be cool, making you able to be finesseful without screwing up the original use of them, only allowing ripostes on a parry.

I really like the idea of progression, because sure, I COULD just instantly make my ultimate bad ass knight guy with numerous details and cool shit, but the impact of such a creation would be significantly downgraded, and I wouldn’t feel like I achieved much, I would never be able to slowly add to my ever growing collection of pieces and accessories, forging someone who looks like a true veteran. Oh yeah, and the fact that I look like a bad ass will reflect my ability, and the time I have spent in the game, making my character look like a grizzled mercenary who slowly added to his getup till he was what he is today. I can’t speak for the actual leveling system, and how leveling itself feels, since I don’t own the game, but that’s what I’d imagine it feeling like. And if you’re an Uber aesthetic character creator nerd, I should think this would be even more satisfying for you, slowly adding to your collection, like an artists palette. I personally don’t think I or many others would find it very satisfying to just have everything at their disposal, but I guess I can’t judge. But I think this would be a net plus for most people. Maybe make all the weapons available, and a piece from each tier like someone else said though, that’s a good idea.
