I moved Mordhau from my HDD to my SSD and it decreased startup loading and server join loading by a ton. It takes like 5 seconds instead of 14 seconds now.
Fantastic job on fixing the server lag issues, and on the server browser.
Great work on the new server browser! Much better.
You can take it out for youself if you want. Forcing no crosshair would make no sense , as you could just add it back in with a third party program.
Alternatively, you could have a system similar to Red Orchestra 2 or Insurgency, but that would mean changing the aiming system completely.
They do have collision, but sometimes it goes right between the tracers, as you can see in the video.
Regarding the environmental tracers, I think they are only different at the very end of your weapon so the game gives you a bit more tolerance when swinging near a wall. Needs confirmation tho.
Wanted to suggest this. Great to see that it's being discussed already.
Posting this in case it has not been reported yet.
When you leave a server just before it switches the map, you are placed in the main menu, than right after that the game joins you back to the server with the new map. Even when you do nothing in the menu.
Probably happens because the server doesn't get notified in time that I left, because it is occupied with the map switching.
What happens if you back up the .ini file, delete the original one and start the game? That might work. UE4 might just generate/download the default one, or the game might just refuse to start.
Edit: We are probably talking about "loadout.ini"
I noticed that there are still a few control options missing from the game, so I made a list what I think still needs to be added. After all, this game should be about "Freedom of choice" .
Control Settings:
Flips the right and left side, so a Left Upper strike would be changed to a Right Upper strike.
Rotates the attack 180 degrees, so a Left Upper strike would be changed to a Right Lower strike.
Swing type gets determined by button, Side gets determined by mouse horizontal movement.
Key Bindings:
Flips the right and left side, so a Left Upper strike would be changed to a Right Upper strike.
Rotates the attack 180 degrees, so a Left Upper strike would be changed to a Right Lower strike.

Here is an image representation:

In the keybindings you should be able to bind multiple of these to the same button, like on the image.
It doesn't make sense to do "Flip Attack Side" and "Inverse attack direction" in the Control settings for the Keybind system, as you can just set your bindings differently in the first place.
I tested it and it works. That is strange and undesirable I think. Comboing should obviously be the fastest way to attack after a succesful hit. Otherwise it is quite pointless.
Edit: I think it even works without hitting an enemy.
quality thread right here.
I noticed that dragging diagonally, rather than vertically or horizontally is quite a bit faster.
Maybe I just observed it wrong, but to me, this seems to be the case:
Turn cap is locked in X and Y direction, you can't move the mouse more than (let's say) 1.
But diagonally those numbers add up like vectors, and the result is, that you can turn 1.41 times as fast.

What do you think? Please confirm or deny, as this might be just a false impression to me.
Somebody ban this guy for a week. Maybe he will learn.
Go to a single player game
Open up console
Type: m.CameraDistance -15
Type: m.CameraDistance 15
See for yourself what it does.
Live and learn.
Some small bugs:

What is the reason for the match warmup time increase?
I changed it in the .ini files. Works good.
Did something like this:
Steam folder -> mordhau -> input.ini -> ConsoleKey=F9
This is actually the first game ever where I noticed screen tearing, and I always play without Vsync.
I don't get bothered by it, so no big deal for me.
Also there is no input lag for me.
