I was a passive Chiv player, so yeah, the lack of voice commands and map freedom gets pretty boring. I'll sometimes hop on though.

They'll figure out net code eventually, I'm sure. At least there aren't annoying FPS drops... Yet.

Once they add in that 64p mode I'm sure the crowd will flock back in. Servers are only empty now because the little content made everyone bored, and the ones who stayed, the regulars, all now have 400+ hours and absolutely decimate anyone who tries to fight them, making them rage quit or get bored at the lack of exciting kills. Those 400+ hour people play it smart and duel nonstop so they can get better, but why would one guy who hops on want to join a duel server with a bunch of people he can't possible beat?

If the crowd for some reason doesn't flock in and we can't seem to fill up a 64p player server, the devs maybe just have to give away some keys..

I kept wondering what double KO meant but never bothered asking. I've seen that happen a few times.

Me and a dude even threw axes at each other one time. Our axes collided mid-air and fell to the floor. Can't wait to see arrows do that...

Yeah, matchmaking sucks for games with small player bases. Thank goodness there's gonna be a server browser as well.

People who rage quit Chiv are definitely going to rage quit this game just as fast. The majority of gamers don't like a real competitive challenge, so unless they get to backstab and gank everyone they fight, they're gonna have a bad time.

Sure, no evil reverses, but everything else they complained about will be there, plus a lot more.

Should avoid killing them for 2 hours so they can't refund before they realize how hard it is. Lol

Don't worry guys, I'll figure out how to make that link show the video on here eventually.

There's a good chance they're already planning to work on this later...

The current flourish animation is only good for certain weapons, as the bigger ones will slice through your character or swing through the ground, making it not look so great.

It'd be nice if there was a different flourish emote for bigger weapons, or perhaps even multiple flourishes for the same weapon, which would randomly be selected when the emote is used.

Definitely no reason I'd want this, but me and a certain Prince would be very pleased if this was done.

240 system is good for chambering and lunge angles.

But since I can't play Mordhau right now, we can fight in Roblox!

What are the odds this public emblem I made specifically for Prince gets denied?

I've yet to make the emblem for my own personal use. Difficult to decide what I want.

We have assists in-game ?
Is this the new "Double K.O" ?

What PvP game with teams doesn't have assists?

 > @Void said:

But if the guy is already dead, you're not assisting in anything tbh
You are just hitting a corpse

Technically they're not dead until after the death animation ends and they fall to the ground.

As I said, not important, but would be neat to have.

 > @Maci said:

Would only encourage kill sniping

Yeah, because literally anything else wouldn't already do that.

inb4 finishers and killstreaks too

Yeah, and maybe next they'll add achievements for making thoughtless replies.

Not an important feature to add, but imagine how in a game like Chivalry you'd be set upon by three enemies and they all swing at once. The first one kills you, playing a death animation, the second chops off your arm, and the third one beheads you. That's a brutal death, but only the first gets any credit.

Death animations aren't too common in this game it seems, and they don't last long, but if something like this were to happen, getting points as an assist would be neat.

I haven't used light armor in awhile, and I want to main light armor and 1handers, but so far there's no good reason to do so, other than to challenge yourself.

I'm all for unlockables. Unlockables keep people playing longer.

Being able to bind voice and emotes to certain keys would definitely be nice for using on your favorites. I plan to use them all though, and there's not enough keys in easy reach for that.

As for a radial menu for voice and emotes, I'd much rather not have that, as I wouldn't easily be able to use them during combat. The best time to spam voice commands is during a duel. Spamming voice AND emotes during duels should be challenging, but possible.

Thanks for feedback and support.

So far we've got a lot of neat emotes, and we're still waiting for those sweet voice commands, which I will spam every chance possible to break all immersion and make myself and others laugh.

Now anyway, with the current emote system, I have to press X to cycle through 3 pages of emotes, and if I want to use some emotes I have to reach all the way across my keyboard to press 0. That alone is pretty lame, but what's also lame is that, depending on the loadout you're currently wielding, whether it be fists, shield or 2hander, some of the emotes will disappear, ruining the memorized order of the list and making you press the wrong emote by instinct.

My recommendation would be to, first, keep the emotes you can't use in the list, but have them grayed out so you know you can't use them. That way they don't ruin the order so you can actually memorize what buttons to press without looking. You could memorize each list of emotes for each loadout, sure, but wouldn't this be a lot easier?

Second, I believe that a button such as C should flip the current list of emotes you're on, that way instead of pressing X,X,8, you can press X,X,C,2. Less reaching, more speed, better in general.

Whenever we get voice commands, assuming they all come in one list like the emotes do (instead of Chivalry's Tactical and Personal messages), you could have it set to Z, while having C also flip the list so you don't have to reach to something like 0.

Y'all better not tell me this exact same thread was already made 2 years ago.

The 1hand weapons can drag well, but the increased speed of light armor is hardly noticeable. Sure, you can run away faster, but how is that useful when you're trying to beat someone in a fight? You're just not able to make more mistakes, really.

Hahah he thinks MAA is hard to play

Ever play Random Weapon LTS on Chivalry? When it forces everyone to be MAA, even some of the best players do really poorly.
Not to mention all the players who are getting slightly good at the game just get decimated because they don't know the range of their little weapons.

Combat is really cool and all, but every time I go on all the US people only want to duel. Like sheesh, why not some group fights for once?
Also, I'm more the type of fellow to goof around, and funny animations on really tiny maps can only entertain me for so long. Still waiting for those voice commands.

I'm wondering how difficult it will be to fill a 64 player server. Maybe they'll have to let more people into the alpha/beta to fill one.
