My employers always told me not to speak to journalists, as those guys will always do something to spark drama. Truly annoying.

I definitely get the stand point of wanting a toggle and the stand point of wanting a filter. You can't appeal to everyone and there will always be people complaining, but at the end of the day, if they don't have something better to play, they'll get used to any changes you make and will continue to play the game.

Slurs and vulgar behavior are just bad form, I think. I wouldn't say they're actually racist or sexist, just a weirdo looking to annoy people, in which case they have a dozen other ways they can do that. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to removing one of those ways by adding a filter. There's nothing to be gained by talking in such a foul manner.

Toggle for gender and race? Honestly sounds pretty silly at initial thought, but I get the reasoning. I'm not for that though. It's annoying to spend tons of time and effort customizing only to have it tossed aside. Maybe some people will find the voice commands annoying, but I'm pretty sure I'm the most frequent voice command spammer on the West Coast, so I get a lot of complaints just using what we have now. I'm pretty sure you guys added the K to mute during Alpha just for me. That's pretty hilarious.

I figured your team of 11 would have expanded by now. Have you not hired any more content creators yet? Having a group focused on new maps or just mod support would be great. Surely you guys have the money to hire some people now.

You guys should've seen when shields had 100% accurate hitboxes during alpha. Let me tell you... Absolutely impossible to block with.

It's a hook. Hooks pull. That's the point.

The pull effect was made with the "hook" in mind, thus why it can dismount riders and pull enemies closer. Billhook's ability to pull people in means more ease comboing in kicks, which drain 35 of the enemy's stamina. It's quite useful.

When they first added shields, they used to have a 100% accurate hitbox. It was pretty much impossible for any tester to accurately block due to swing manipulation suddenly going from head to feet and vice-versa. Impossible to read with a shield blocking your view and way too easy for the attacker to get past.

You can get around shields. Foot drags will work if they're blocking up, stabs and overhead jump attacks will work if they're looking downward, and stabs will go around their sides if done properly. Also, kicks. Learn how to kick properly and it will be no challenge.

Awesome work, guys. It's been a lot of fun the past week to play this game and not have to worry about there being no players. Even AAA games have their day one patches, and for such a small team you guys have done amazingly.

As I and many others have noticed, the progression system is based on the length of the match, not how well you do during those matches. With this in mind, it's completely possible for players to simply idle in the game and rack up gold and experience. Obviously players should be rewarded for playing even if they don't do good, so that way they progress and want to keep playing. However, I find it odd that the MVPs sometimes get less gold and experience than those players simply because they joined the match later.

Basically what I'm saying is that, yes, it's totally possible for the highest ranked player in the game to do nothing but play the lute longer than other people play the game normally.

We now have the Kickstarter backer tier banners in-game, but I see no sign of the titles. Are these still planned, and where will they appear? On the banner/kill feed, on the leaderboard, or somewhere else?

The game uses a system called "240", as well as key binds that you can set. The 240 system allows you to move your mouse in a direction to attack from that angle, whether that be a stab or a swing. This allows you to do overheads, under-hands and side swings.

This is how it was shown on the Kickstarter page.

Keybinds allow you to, well, bind your keys (mouse or keyboard) to do specific angled attacks (under-hand, overhead, side) for both stabs and swings.
