There's even a beta tournament video floating around youtube, you can see that stabs are just accel accel with no varied attacks, which is easy to parry which leads many pro players to use it situational or gambling

As mentioned during the alpha and beta, stabs are considered the worst at a high comp level. This is due to the limited swing manipulation and the easy to counter by chamber. This made stabs more of a one trick pony: to accel/gamble

Pretty much a morph, no 360s are seen here only a quarter of the turn is a stab being morphed to a quarter of the turn into a swing (180 morphed)

stabs right now are the weakest in a competitive level, its so easy to parry because of the limited swing manipulation so most of the times its accel accel with stabs and no variation like accel deccel.

just have each shield contain different unique skills that go well with the fient drag morph cycle

stab drags are non existant to the point anyone can chamber them, i proposed a swing manipulation buff by 25+ ms to make chambers on drags harder for rapiers and easier for 2 handers + slower weapons to outperform in stabs

What does this mean exactly?

Remove parry, make sword clashing easier to do :P, keep chambers. Would love this game.

you get a parry hitbox during chambers to make it useful for 1vx fights

  • also i hope clashing gets some sort of change to make it useful competitively than for show

during beta, etc, devs were discussing on adding Active parry with chambers, but there isnt an animation for it to look good. hopefully its an idea that would be later implemented when they have the time to make it work.
Possibly a way to make chambers more useful, high reward in 1vx.

That moment at 8:36 in the video where he claims that he's hitting around a shield by stabbing from the front and dragging (which shouldn't work, and which I hope doesn't really work, because obviously the blade should hit the block if you're in front of the player) is false, because by the time his stab actually hits the guy, he's dropped his guard (which you can see clearly if you watch frame by frame).

It would hit if the shield player does not follow the tip, footwork is then needed to actually curve the stab path to make it consistently hit the sides were the shield is not blocking
( this video is showing a side stab not a backstab)

  • there's also another method which is z stabs, which is drawing a z pattern with the stab to trick opponents in blocking at the opposite side making side stabs easier

Right now ive heard that devs implemented a 180 turn nerf that reduces your speed, not sure if that's still ingame which might explain problems with speed

The game currently looks Spammy because of young playerbase, but in a competitive level stabs are considered the weakest in terms of swing manipulation etc
