I can see pure comitement in this, it's even inspiring, i wish you the best of luck and willpower to reach your goal.

I recomend you a player limit, it gets very messy with more than 4 or 5 players unless they are incredibly cooperative towards playing the game. That being said, i fucking love role playing and i would fucking love to play with you guys but timezones would fuck me up for sure :/

oh wow, thanks mate, will have a look at it.

Oxbin, it wont fail, believe me and believe in the Holy Light of Marox.

Got bored even before half-way through. Seems like a man that loves his country and does not want something bad to happen to it, mixed with a bit of islamophobia.

There's no reason to make a sword so big that it loses the mobility and flexibility that sets it apart from other weapons. Make it too big and it becomes a clumsy metal rod. You'd be better off with a wooden club at that point.

Gotta love some good ol' wooden stick with a proportional increase of mass towards one end to whack the shit out of people. Also wooden clubs can get pretty damn sophisticated, but i guess this is talking material for "Weapons we want to see in Mordhau" or somewhere else.

Hello and welcome to the comunity, Mountain.

Well i never was too fond of mmorpg, but a mmorpg with Mordhau mechanics would be awesome without a doubt, with all the other things like quests, different skillsets that allow for diferent roles in the comunity, events, clan wars, sieges and pillages it could indeed make for a great experience. The problem is that a combat system like Mordhau's in a mmorpg would be a hell and imposible to implement right now, as Sammy said, it is far in the distant future.

As much as I like Zwei, I would like things to be kept more on the realistic side. I mean, it's quite brutal as it is right?

It is, such a big sword is a danger even on its practice versions, the mass of the weapon is just enough to beat the crap out of people even with a dull edge, so training with them must be done with proper care. Said mass combined with a fine edge is devastating, the reach is also is a great asset. Greatswords are great BAD DUM TISH in just standard and reasonable meassures, we don't need a two meters and a half monstrosity.

If the animations are at all similar to how they were in Slasher, flourish feints with onehanders are going to be totally viable

Well that's interesting to say the least, i definately see some people giving some combat use to the emotes.

Also Ceegal is right, i don't remember who said it or in which thread, but i think it was Crush. You can deflect projectiles by attacking them or parrying them and if said projectile is a thrown weapon you can pick it up while still in the air, or someone else if they are close enough or the weapon was sent flying towards them (this weapon could not further damage anyone once deflected).

Edit: We also know that kicks are aimable so you can kick people right beneath you climbing a lader or just kick a head off of a corpse who was partially decapitated like in that gorgeous gif in "Dev dump" thread.

Luke proficiency, sounds legit.

1805 1120

You want to be a hot secretary Sammy?

1805 1120

Crush said today in Discord that you can attack out of emotes. Emote feint confirmed.
