Helmets are great
The last four are cancer.
im wich way are they cacer? they don't look biological or like a tumor.
though maybe not 100% fitting with the rest of the designs
The last four look like later century armors used when full plate was being phased out. They work in Exanima since it's a fantasy game with a realistic aesthetic, but I wouldn't want them in my mordhoo
I agree that they are a bit too "modern" or late to fit into mordhau. though mordhau has viking-landsknecht and knight stuff

but exanima is a physics based magic fighting adventure super thing and mordhau something entirely different with..
what should i call it, direction melee weapon.. well if i find a definition for what mordhau can be called i'll be back
To be honest, I think Mordhau's aesthetic is a case-by-case issue, and that the "historical accuracy" argument doesn't always apply. Basically, whatever looks cool and seems like it fits is how the aesthetic has been developed so far. It's a lot more intuitive than logical.
To follow up on that, it's not so blatantly historically inaccurate that it looks like it doesn't belong. We've got several hundred years of equipment existing at the same time in the game, so some slightly exaggerated helmets are okay.
Only nerds care about this stuff tbh regular people dont give a shit about what era the armors are from.
Loving what i see! It's to see historical depictions of actual armor in games. Keep up the great work, team!
I'd leave historical accuracy to mods or custom servers rather than it being forced to make the game more credible somehow.
Historical accuracy shouldn't be forced, however, adding non-historical equipment that's clearly never been used will slightly detract from the game.
Like others have said, most people won't care, but creating sets of armor and weapons that do make sense will make history buffs happy and won't detract from the more casual players' experience.
The 1st one looks like a barbute helmet, but the fact it leaves the jugular/carotid kinda unprotected is silly.
The second one looks like a morion with better protection, which I guess it's okay. Reminded me of this: http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/images/hb/hb_1989.3.jpg
Last 2 look like crap.
Second is called burgonet
Third looks like variation of this
I like how they look tbh
The issues with thise is that the last set of helms in examina are definitely eastern but there's no other eastern gear in the game so you just have these random helms.
Casual players might not know the origin and time periods of armor, but they can tell if something looks off, just like in exanima
polska hussars used quite similar helmets tbh
its kind of both eastern and a little western
Yeah but angel wings? What is this, trans-ginger Mordhau?
I want to cosplay as a male lesbian
I see some comments about historical accuracy, to put this endless back and forth to rest, In Mordhau we focus on bringing in armors from most parts of Europe spanning many different centuries, meaning that you will see armors that would never have faced each other in battle nor existed at the same time. We are not trying to make something that is historically accurate but many of our armors are based on things seen in the real world. As a rule of thumb, what belongs in our armor collection are armors that would appear grounded in reality to a layman.
Can add Katana???
